I love coming to the beautiful city of Valencia, especially when I’m going to the Mestalla to watch Valencia. The first time I ever came here to watch a game I thought we’d pulled up by a block of flats & I wasn’t overexcited by my first glimpse of the groundbut once inside it’s a fantastic stadium which generates a truly amazing atmosphere.
I used to wonder why Valencia had a baton their emblem but after watching a night game there & the number of batsflying around the stadium I now know why.
Located in the piazza outside the ground is a bar that is run by Spain’smost famous fan, ‘Manolo’, the guy you will have seen at every World Cup match Spainhave participated in for the last 50+ years banging his drum.
I would highly recommend that you go & have a drink at his bar, especially if your a footy-mad person like myself as his collection of football memorabilia is awesome & Manolo himself is a really nice, accommodating, friendly gentleman.
A must for all football fans. More
