Lovely hotel and wonderful, helpful staff. They did all they could to make our short stay a good one. Just out of the old town so you need to have an idea where you are going but the staff are more than happy to assist with this. We would especially like to thank Lucia for all her help. One thing to bear in mind if travelling with children is that the laws have recently changed and all cabs must have safety seats for the children. This can cause a difficulty when trying to book cab (we had a 2 and a 7 year old) but staff went to great trouble to overcome this. Overall a lovely place to stay. Highly recommended.

The hotel has beautiful interiors. The staff were very helpful, willing to reccomend and make bookings on our behalf. The hotel is very close to the Old Town, one straight road. The spa was pricey but the free access to relaxation pool, sauna and steam room were fantastic, espcially in our robes and slippers provided. There was a huge range of choice at breakfast, and it went up until 11am. The hotel restaurant was pricey but the food and service was absolutely stunning, one of the best restaurants we ate at during our time in Valencia. Our room was bright, modern and very nice, and we had a lovely bathroom as well as a very comfortable bed. Room service was also delicious and quick. The hotel has a large car park and bike rental and so is very convenient.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have beautiful views, if you don't mind a bit of traffic noise, if you do don...

We spent a long weekend here and enjoyed our junior suite (room 201) very much. It was very spacious and comfortable and had a great view over the street. We would have liked a television in the sitting area and really missed a coffee-making facility. The bathroom area is very spacious yet the actual, separate, wc and shower are quite small. Breakfast was great with much on offer, the only thing missing was some good, real yoghurt. There were only the small cheap Danone plastic tubs; the breakfast room is quite small and the many young and loud children didn't make for a nice and relaxing time... It is too bad breakfast isn't served in the nice patio area.
Reception staff were very nice and helpful. Location is great, very close to the Old Town and the new Science park.
Would definitely recommend it.

This is a very smart boutique hotel very centrally located. All Staff are exceptional and so professional and friendly in particular the excellent multi lingual Luis Manuel on the night shift and Marianne (apologies if I have the names wrong). Some absolutely excellent restaurant recommendations from M. I would certainly try and go for a breakfast inclusive deal. The food is top quality. A tip if you like a cooked breakfast - order poached or omelette eggs. These are then freshly cooked and served as opposed to scrambled. The spa is great. On rooms if you are going for the dreamer category I would avoid the ones around the garden area. Dreamer rooms on higher floors offer so much more privacy. The hotel is great and would be even better if it offered complimentary water each day and maybe upgrade the sweet that is left on your bed each night. For upmarket shopping this is the place to stay. Think also of getting a valencia tourist card delivered to hotel. This saves time and gives free travel and access to good museums including a must - jose belliure. When returning after an evening out to the hotel stop off at the jambon de medico bar for a drink. A few meters away and it's a great place for a night cap.

Room Tip: Suggest avoid dreamer rooms that surround garden area. Dreamer rooms on higher floors offer greater...

Although we did not stay at the hotel we ate at the restaurant on a Monday & Wednesday evening.

The staff differed on the two occasions. They were "spot-on" - discreet yet attentive.

The restaurant is in the semi-open, plenty of floor space/greenery, comfortable and calm - conducive to a relaxing tête-à-tête.

Food was very good - freshly prepared, piping hot, a pleasure to see & even better to eat.

Bravo - you contributed to our enjoyable August break in Valencia!

Recommended without reserve

We stayed here for 11 nights and we booked two rooms. Both of them were great, very clean and comfortable. The airconditioning was nothing but perfect, which is very pleasant in a city as Valencia. They also serve an excellent breakfast with a large amount of fresh food and drinks, refilling all the time
The service of the entire staff was excellent, they really intent to do everything to make your stay more comfortable.
The location here is perfect, it's approx. 5/10 walking if you want to go to the old center, and the same goes for the shopping center. Just around the corner, which is the best for a good night's rest.
No doubt we will come back and we definitely recommend Hospes Palau de la Mar. 10/10

I have recently traveled to Valencia and I stayed at Palau de Mar. I highly recommend this hotel to visitors. Its situated in the center of the city within walking distance of museums, churches and the cathedral.
The rooms are nice and tiddy. I must recommend the restaurant, its superb. The staff very friendly and always willing to help and recommend restaurants and places to visit.
For sure if I go back to Valencia, I will again choose Hospes Palau de la Mar.
Congratulations to all the staff members, you have a wonderful hotel.
