“Excellent apartment at a great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

The apartment is a short walk to Placa de la Reina, Placa de la Seu, Catedral and many places to eat. It is located in a quiet and perfect location. The apartment is well kept, very clean and well designed. It made our 2 night stay in Valencia more enjoyable. They have their own parking lot, which was great. The is office in the same building. They actually own several apartment buildings in the same block. The staffs are very professional. We will stay here again the next time we are in Valencia.

We were staying in in Alicante on the coast for two weeks and took the train from there to Valencia for a two day break. Trains were on time, clean, air conditioned and everyone was allocated a seat. Cost us €76 return for two which for the experience we felt was excellent value. It was an easy 15 min walk from Valencia station straight ahead to the Catedral apartments. They are situated 2 mins walk down a side road on the left hand side of the Cathedral square, just before you hit the temporary artisan stalls lining the back of the square.

The flats are extremely well located, there are plenty of restaurants surrounding the square for breakfast (and other meals) if you don't want to cook, also there were leaflets in the flats for take aways. The terminus for tourist buses is on the corner of the square as you enter it and can recommend taking these to help get your bearings around the city. Certainly the blue marina tour is well worth taking if you have limited time for sight seeing.

I hadn't realised that there were circa five blocks of these apartments situated around a nice square so quite easy to find once you get this far. Booking in was extremely easy, the staff spoke excellent English. They were happy to look after our suitcases until the room was ready even thought it was a small reception area. There is a state of the art entry system to get above ground floor level and to operate the lift, the lift was easy enough however trying to put the code into the tiny buttons on the door handle to access first floor was a struggle for Mr. JJTs shovel like hands and poor eyesight!

I had already booked the apartments before departing UK and was a little concerned as they were so cheap - just over £63 per night for a one bed apartment. However they totally exceeded expectations. The apartment we had was in block B on the first floor. It was one bedroomed, absolutely immaculate with a fully equipped kitchen (washer/dryer) so ideal if travelling around.

We discovered we had FOUR balconies - two off the bedroom and two off the lounge. All covered by fully fitted wooden shutters which kept the heat, light and noise out if required. The air conditioning was quiet and worked perfectly, there was a compact but fully functioning shower room with a large walk in shower with shower gel and shampoo.

The bed was king sized with crisp cotton sheets extremely comfortable.

Note: room service will change towels and provide loo paper on a daily basis but beds will not be made nor the bathroom cleaned. We only stayed two nights so it may be that they are cleaned once a week, you might want to check if this concerns you.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor and didn't suffer from any outside noise due to the excellent soundpr...

There's hardly anything negative about this place. its centrally located, close to main bus stop and all the heritage locations of central Valencia. Neat clean and well equipped flats, very new and modern as compared to other flats in Europe. Staff was extremely cooperative and few of them manage the entire square very well. Very homely feeling.

Room Tip: The 2 bedroom apartment has just 1 toilet, ok for a family with kids, but not for 4 adults.

Just spent an amazing three days in the beautiful Valencia. These apartments are in a great. Lots of amazing restaurants and cafés nearby. And for the kids...McDonalds too!! The apartments are well equipped spacious and clean. A group of us used them and our only problems were not enough mirrors, and we could have done with another key per room (but to be fair we didn't ask for one! If flying, try not to pay anymore than €20 for taxi. Bus or, quicker, taxi to the harbour/beach between €1.50 for bus and €11 and€15 for taxi. Message if you need to know anything else.

My wife and I just left Valencia having spent 5.5 nights in a one bedroom apartment (2B) of the ValenciaFlats Catedral complex. The apartment was new and very well equipped and when we thought an item had been overlooked it was available from reception. We booked through Booking.com (which we found really easy and effective for most of our accommodation bookings in Spain and Portugal) and found the pre-arrival communication with ValenciaFlats prompt and accurate.
The information provided on arrival was exactly what we needed and was provided in fluent English (even my very poor pun "2B or not 2B" on our apartment number was recognised) by someone who knew the area and could assess walking times.
The complex is located within easy walking distance of all the major museums, art galleries, markets, etc. and close to bus routes; even the Metro and RENFE (Valencia del Norte) stations are only a level 20 minute walk away.
The management was very flexible, we arrived early but as the apartment had been serviced were allowed to check-in. Our train for Granada left at 23:34 on our final night (hence the 5.5 nights) and we were allowed to stay in the apartment as long as we liked even though the reception closed at 21:00; we just left the keys on the table and shut the door behind us.
A great small restaurant 25 yards from our front door was a bonus.

2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2014

I stayed at Valenciaflats in March for three nights with a colleague - visiting the area on business. While we were initially very happy with the apartments - clean, modern and in a great location - we were not left with a positive impression as we experienced a break in during our stay, which resulted in loss of personal items.

Once we realised we had been broken into (bearing in mind there was no apparent forced entry) we reported it to the reception, but as we were leaving that morning for a flight out of Madrid, were unable to report it to the police.

Since returning to the UK we have been back and forth with the apartment's manager trying to get compensation for the loss of items. Unfortunately as we have no police report we are unable to claim on our own travel insurance and the apartments do not seem all that willing to follow the situation up any further and appear to be taking a 'hope they disappear' attitude to the situation and no compensation has been offered - even though they have openly admitted that they have found CCTV footage of someone entering our apartment - the apartment didn't have a safety deposit box in it either I might add.

While the apartments appear to have a good reputation as long as everything is going positively, it would seem they're not quite so keen to help when things do go wrong. With this in mind I would not stay there again, would not recommend it and would look at hotel options that provide a safety deposit box in future.

Absolutely great for a stay in Valencia, cannot recommend highly enough - perfect location right by the Cathedral, with underground parking below the apartments (email to book), wasn't too difficult to find although we did have a sat nav! You can request a map after booking though which was very helpful. We had a great little studio apartment with all the amenities you would expect, spotlessly clean and perfect for a short stay - and really good value too, cheaper than many of the hotels we looked at in the same area. Only complaint my partner had was that the bed was quite small, but no smaller than what you'd expect for a studio and imagine if you had a bigger apartment then you'd get a bigger bed. Very little noise too, could only really hear the bells from the Cathedral and with the location you can't really complain about that! Very helpful staff too, both before we arrived via email (regarding parking and location) and then when we arrived they were very helpful in terms of how to get around, main things to do, etc. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable... would recommend 100% :-)
