Owner description: Large guard towers that used to protect the ancient city.

This carefully restored section of city wall and gate is the best way to get up high over the city with unobstructed views in all directions. It's certainly impressive just standing under such an imposing structure, much less walking on top of it. Valencia isn't Paris or Venice from a city view standpoint, but it's worth a climb.

There are superior views of the rooftops from these towers. And this is also a good point to observe activities in the Turia riverbed (three footbal fields directly below).
Read some history about this towers and imagine how it was when this was still part of city walls.

One of two sets of gates remaining from the medieval City of Valencia. They make a lovely photo and there are great views to be had from the top. Warning: there are a lot of steps and they are not for the faint-hearted or infirm. Perfectly manageable for most people though - do it on a clear day and you can see a surprisingly long way!

I really thoroughly enjoyed going up to the top of the Towers, and can say its one of my favorite places that I went because of the views on top. A lot of stairs, so be forewarned, but worth it once you get up on top. You don't need more than 15 or 20 minutes there and it's within walking distance of course of many other great sites.
