Stayed here recently for a long weekend. Excellent location on a long sandy beach with the city centre within easy enough reach by taxi or tram. Found the staff very helpful and pleasant. Room was on the 4th floor with a nicely furnished balcony and stunning sea views. Very comfortable room, well serviced. Only slight quibble was the 'moulded' shower which was not really 5 star standard but did not detract from our stay. Plentiful breakfast each morning on the lovely terrace. Nice pools, with staff there to bring you drinks etc. Also enjoyed the spa experience very much. All in all a very relaxing stay in a lovely hotel.

The hotel is located on the beach and has amazing views of the beach. There is a promenade that you can use to walk on the beach. The rooms are nice and neat. The housekeeping and customer service are excellent. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The only thing I would recommend is to have a better gym. The machines weights etc are not to the standards of a 5 star hotel. Also the use of the spa need to be managed. You cannot use it unless you pay for it. The breakfast is good and has a lot of variety and changes every day. There is local transport right to the airport and the city center.

I was there 3 days. Wonderfull location on the beach side. nice SPA. Big swimmingpool. Clean room and good services. Located in area Porto but easy to achieve down town by walking (30 minutes).
I suggest this location.

Location is great. Right by the beach and a nice pathway along the beach with numerous restaurants. Easy to reach from the airport. Just take the subway/tram with one transfer and then about a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Also easy to walk or take the tram to key attractions in the city.

Room was clean but very standard. Turndown service at night even turned down the crib for our toddler (including the piece of chocolate).

Restaurant was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. Breakfast buffet was, by far, the most extensive that we encountered on this trip to Europe. It was also the most pricey though.

Hotel is large and had a number of business meetings/events ongoing while we were there.

Easily the best located hotel in Valencia, right on the lovely beach and a short walk from the F1 street circuit (I'm a grand prix fan...). The hotel is beautiful throughout, all common areas are stunning. We had the most delicious breakfast each day on the relaxing terrace, and hired bikes from the hotel at a very reasonable 10euros that let us see Valencia at our own speed. Yep - this was a top holiday.

The rooms are great, we had a fantastic balcony view on the 3rd floor. The room decoration was a little tired, and the TV was absolutely rubbish quality picture with little english channel choice, but room decoration was good - especially the bathroom. Although the water temperature varied between scalding and tepid throughout each shower!

Main gripe was the attitude of one or two key members of staff, specifically the Maitre D' (called Angel) at breakfast each morning, who wouldn't break a smile for anyone and barely spoke. It is always such a shame to see a nice hotel serving fantastic food to have it all RUINED by the front of house. Angel made me want to give 3 stars but thankfully enough of his colleagues made sufficient effort for this to be unfair.

Room Tip: Check the shower temperature consistency on arrival - if it varies insist on changing rooms. We put...

The hotel is very nice, beachfront location, though far from town.Arrived at 2pm, 1hr before hotel check in time,so had to wait for a room.

On going into the room found out that it was a smoking room and the smell of smoke was everywhere-nobody bothered letting us know at reception.

Asked to be transferred to a non-smoking room and were told one would only be available next day despite us stating a preference for a non-smoking room on the booking.

Complaint to Hotels.com was useless, quoted some small print and neither the hotel nor the site offered any compensation.

The room amenities themselves are luxurious but no tea and kettle.having read other reviews complaining about lack of tea and kettle in other hotels i always found it ironic until this happened to us as having one is actually very useful.

Called reception three times to ask for them, they wanted to charge us as for room service saying that it is unusual in Spain to find tea and kettle in hotels-after we've come from a 4* in Barcelona and after I've stayed in another 4* in Madrid on business with these included as standard!

We got them in the end but felt that one needed to really push for things to happen in this hotel despite 5* and the price (they could have thrown in free parking by the way).

If you are a young couple after nightlife, this hotel and the surrounding area are not for you-most guests were mature,grown-up families with kids though kids were well-behaved and were only a nuisance in the internal pool.

Room Tip: ask for the first floor rooms with a terrace.

Everything slows down in Spain, and Las Arenas may be the best site in the city to relax in that atmosphere. Sea facing rooms allow brilliant sunshine into the area. Rooms are comfortable. Staff accommodated requests and had a wide range of languages. Pool, spa and gym areas are wonderful places to the beach and the beach access could not be more convenient.

Room Tip: Room with seaside balcony is best.
