“Awesome beach fron Resort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2010

I just spent 3 nights at the Hotel Las Arenas in Valencia, and what can I say, it was amazing...
From the moment we walked in we were greeted by huge smiles. People from the front desk arranged our tours to Calatrava's Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias as well as the city center (we took 2 tours, a walking tour and a tour on Segway, I definitely recommend the Segway tour, very easy to handle, VERY good tour guides, and a fun way to get to know a city).
The hotel used to be public bathing resort on the 1900's, one of Spain's most frequently visited by Europe's royalty, and it still keeps its grand charm.
Rooms are very spacious, almost all of them with private balcony. Breakfast buffet is great, a very nice way to start your day.
The resort is right on the beach so it has great views and also the beach is very near to the city center, so its the perfect location.
As a local tip I would recommend having dinner at a place called El Pilar (in El Carmen neighborhood) which serves valencia's tipical dish, a kind of big clam called Clochinas.
Have a great trip,

We stayed at this hotel with our teenage children and were pleased with this hotel. The rooms are spacious and have excellent air-conditioning. The view of the beach and see is stunning; the restaurant staff is very helpful and no question is too much effort for them. We have seen busy and calmer days but over all, our stay here was very relaxing. During daytime, visiting the center of Valencia is a must and at night there are plenty of little restaurants to choose from close to the hotel. A late night walk to the port with the Chipperfield building is recommended. In the fitness-room some machines unfortunately stopped working during our stay. But it was not crowded so there were other machines to work out on.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel.
The room is very comfortable and clean. The bed and the sheets were as well, but the shower is not the greatest, the food and the room service is very expensive.
The pool is amazing with the ocean view, walk distance to nice restaurants at the beach.
When we left the hotel and got into the airport we realized that we had forgotten some valuable items in the room, we called the reception and they were very helpful securely sending the items to our other hotel in Madrid by mail.

Just back from 6 nights in Valence, Spain.
The hotel is great and worth the 5 star rating.
On arrival, our bags were taken away in seconds and our car was wisked off. Check in took all of 5 miniutes ! Very helpfull staff. Our bags got to the room at the same time as we did ! Our room (executive room) on the 4th floor had a great view of the beach, big enough for 2, the bathroom was fantastic as well. Breakfast was good, no waiting, pleanty of choice and enough staff, all helpful. The cost of 22 euros is expensive, if like me you don't eat much at breakfast. We had room service one night, service was fast food was good. Pool area is strange, the big pool has the least amount of sunbeds and not enough space, where as the small pool for children has far more space, but more noise as well. Didn't use the Spa or the gym.
The beach is 100 meters away and far better than using the pool.
The down side to this great place is the area, its rough, and there's nothing interesting. No shops or anything to visit. You need to take a 10 min taxi ride at 8 euros to get into the center of town to find the shops.
There are a number of restaurants to the right of the hotel, some are ok... others poor, they are all expensive for what they offer.

Overall this is a very good hotel, the service is very good. Well worth it.

This hotel is pure luxury! It lays just in front of the beach and there is also a wonderful promenade for jogging or simply walking to the new port of Valencia.
The lobby and bar areas are huge, with comfortable couches spread around, and they open directly to the impressive garden, where guests can sunbath in a very quite and relaxed atmosphere along the pools. There are also a huge and state-of-the-art SPA and a fitness center. Everything is so big that is never crowded!
We stayed in a wonderful suite, with beautiful personalized furniture and any kind of amenities you can desire. Most part of the rooms have a view of the beach and they have a lovely sunny terrace. The bathroom included jacuzzi tub and separate shower, double sink and high quality amenities.
The restaurant is nice, though a bit impersonal - but just around the corner of the hotel and in front of the beach you can find many popular restaurant where to enjoy the real PAELLA.
The service was just great.
My only disappointment (and I had to look to find one!!) came from the breakfast, which we had served in room: good but a little poor, considered the hotel standard and the price - I would have expected something more, like a yogurth, fresh fruit and a boiled egg, for instance - but this is just a minor thing.
A GREAT EXPERIENCE, which I suggest to everyone who want to induge in perfect relax!

Great hotel, the rooms, the staff, the surroundings, were more then expected, at a fair rate. There is a great parking, staff parks the car for you, the lobby is huge, with friendly staff, rooms are spacious and very clean, perfect bathroom, spotless. Breakfast is better than ever seen, one can even eat a full hot meal, many options for vegetarians, vegans even, with different types of soy milk. Staff does everything to make you happy. Pools are perfect, garden and terrace were perfect, beach was perfect, everything was perfect in this hotel.

After quite a lot of research this was a great choice of hotel. It was wonderful to be on the coast, there's a great choice of restaurants to eat at all along the beach front, and the service in the hotel itself was excellent. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms second to none, with the shower body massage facilities quite amazing, like an upright jacuzzi! I loved all the comfortable sofas on the terrace outside, the best place to relax with tea or a glass of wine. All the staff were extremely polite and helpful and really made the stay enjoyable which is important after a day's work. My colleage and I were attending a conference at the conference centre 15 minutes away, and taxis were also very reasonable (although I believe there is a straightforward underground system in Valencia too). I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to everybody, it was really excellent. There is a lovely large pool for those who have leisure time which is clean with plenty of sun loungers to choose from. I think the best thing was the location and the service, and I really can't fault anything about the hotel. I just need to find another conference in Valencia now...!
