Stayed here after husband had to fly into Valencia so wanted a night away, had looks at a few hotels in Valencia I always focus on locations and facilities..this seemed to tick all boxes! However I arrived early with view of going into there "fully equipped gym" girl was quite helpful on desk on check in, offered me an upgrade for better view at extra charge, who spends time looking out of window anyway and usually last minute upgrades are free? Or they have been in other hotels we have stayed in, room was nice spacious? Extremely over priced minibar €5 for a bottle of water, should be standard free on the side and usual extortionate pringles, nuts etc!

Got changed went to gym, which was by the spa once two women down there had finished charging I enquired about a massage for husband nope nothing today nothing tomorrow..I said all day nope nothing..carried on chatting with friend..went in gym not one tv work on equipment, and some was broken complete waste of time.

Had dinner in podium bar was ok, found quite difficult to get a drink as bloke was busy doing other things like re stocking?

Bed not very comfy but ok, had breakfast in room next day which had to pay extra €5 which is ok, was plentiful but few items missing like salt, pepper, milk, butter, sauces? Standard items.

Check out was fine, asked several times about joining Melia rewards when I checked in and again when checking out but they wasn't interested.

We use hotels a lot so are always looking for a good chain as the member ships have special offers, if always heard melia was excellent chain after this experience I'm not so sure.

Dear Melianie F,

In name of the entire Melia Valencia team, I would like to thank you for taking some of your valuable time to send us your comments about your recent stay in our Hotel.

It's great for me to know that you have chosen our hotel for it's location and that you have enjoyed our nice rooms.

I'm really surprise for your comments, as you can see in other Tripadvisor comments, the main thing that our gests appreciate the most are our beds and the quality of our rooms . Our hotel is the highest building in Valencia, so one of our attractives is the views that our guests can have from the highest floors. We really regret to know that your experience with us was not as pleasant as we would love.

I have checked your reservation and it seems that you have become Melia Rewards member, and we do have your details. I'm sure you'll love all the member benefits.

In Melia Valencia we always take into consideration all the comments that our guests share with us, because we believe that is the best way that we have to improve.

If you give us another opportunity, and you come back to our hotel, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be very glad to welcome you in person.

Kind regards,
Natalia Galan

Rooms are spacious and neat and well maintained! Though hotel is not located in city centre, a short ride or walkable distance from City Centre, a Taxi ride is not expensive and there is a good Public Transport System too, Great place for a vacation for families too with plenty of places of tourist interest , Though only very few locals speak English, they were friendly in general and helpful too

Room tip: Rooms are Relatively Noise-Free, The Breakfast is really memorable and copious and of Excellent Quality too

I think that is one of the best hotels in Valencia. The place is not very good because is not in city center, but the hotel, rooms and facilities are very very nice and you can get a taxi or metro to be in city center in a couple of minutes (about 15)

Arrived at the hotel in the early afternoon, meet by Edwardo at the reception, who then phoned the Guest Relations Manager. Advised that the Melia white House had contacted them, I had a fantastic upgrade to 28th floor, with a view of the whole city towards the sea. Also the helped me with restaurants & tours,( what a fantastic welcome, thank you the Level team at the White House). This hotel is in an excellent location, it may seem out of the city centre, but is close to the Metro, the Buses are are easy to use & the tram to the beach is only 800 meters away. There are very good restaurants close by, and the view of the City in in the evening is spectacular. Also the hop on tourist bus has it's Stop no. 5 just outside and to the right of the main entrance,so you can get on there. . The staff are very friendly & helpful,Breakfast was very good & the food of a high standard. The only very slight let down is the Wifi, which is a bit weak. Other than that , Valencia is a must visit place, and the Melia Valencia a must stay in Hotel. a big " Muchas Gracias" to all the staff.

Room tip: room 2806 is a fantastic suite on 28th floor
