Stayed three nights here. Got a family room which was two rooms with a door between so we had a lot of space. Oceanografic was only 5min walk away. El Corte Ingles and Aqua Mall across the street.
Very clean an modern rooms. Loved this place. Only minus was the breakfast. The presentation was nice but the range of foods was really small.
Carage was nice to have for 15€/night. I was glad to hear that parking is free in July so we paid for only one night.
Tip for food: La Cantina de Appetite

We stayed with my family in this hotel in January 2013 to visit Valencia for 3 days. Arrival went smooth, the parking garage is directly under the hotel. At the check-in the receptionist was really friendly and able to talk about 4 different languages. The only bad thing is, that the front desk was staffed pretty poorly throughout our stay which means that everytime you wanted to ask something and there were a lot of check ins, you had to wait some time. The hotel itself is a pretty modern one with a nice terrace and a nice bar - although not really frequented in this time of the year. The room was perfectly clean, with exception of several water spots in the bathroom - nothing serious. The mattress was really comfortable. We didn't book breakfast, but still it was no problem to go to the breakfast area in the morning (buffet looked nice) and ask for some hot water for tea (tea bags in the room). The hotel is located just 10 minutes by foot from the science park with Calatravas' extravagant, but at the same time a bit useless buildings. Definitely worth a visit - just don't question the function or the costs of that buildings. You can reach the city center easily by bus from the Calle de Menorca and when you get back you should get off the bus at calle ibiza. The hotel didn't knock my socks off, but is still recommendable.

I stayed here for 4 nights with my partner, our 5th trip to Valencia and we had stayed twice when tis hotel was owned by Melia and standards have slipped somewhat.

We got a really good rate (£44 per night excl breakfast) and for value for money this hotel was great, I just wouldn't want to pay any more for it:

1. Wifi was free but annoyingly slow; I'd rather pay for faster wifi, watching videos was near impossible.

2. Breakfast was ok (not as good as Melia, I missed the 'Ricon Valenciana'), 4 euros cheaper if you old reception the day before - if you can't speak Spanish you might struggle communicating with front desk staff.

3. Hotel restaurant was rather basic - Melia restaurant was rather nice.

4. Saturday and Sunday included comuniones or quinceanera, not sure which but they were REALLY loud and kids running screaming around the hotel.

5. Spa was expensive and included numerous extras (plastic hats, flip flops etc), front desk staff didn't know when it was open etc. We went to the spa in the shopping centre which was cheaper and nicer and open much later.

6. House keeping didn't change the sheets, they just made the bed.

There were some positives though, the room was clean and reasonable size, the staff were friendly and tolerated my attempts at Spanish (I'm learning so I appreciated the opportunity to practice). The bakery next door (Panaria, a small chain) has delicious coffee, pastries, horchata and fartons.

Overall, it was fine but if you can get a good rate at the Westin or Hopses Palau de la Mar, I'd recommend staying there.

We really like Valencia, it's a great city. Perfect for cycling - we used Valenbisi (similar to Boris Bikes in London) - as it's so flat and LOTS of cycle lanes. Restaurant Lienzo is very good, modern tapas, or 'gastrotapas' as they like to call it and very reasonably priced, the even had Toro wines, yum!

This is a hotel in a superb location if you want to visit the Calatravan Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. It has one mall and a huge Corte Ingles opposite to the hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. However you must expect long lines at the time of checking in. The hotel management seems to be saving costs by reducing the number of their staff and you have to wait up to 10 clients before you at checking in time. There was only one receptionist who was in charge of everything, telephone calls included. This shouldn't happen in a four star hotel. During the weekends breakfast is only served from 8 AM so if you are in a hurry or want to enjoy the city early, forget about having breakfast in the hotel.

it was a very good hotel that fits our purpose, which is to have a base outside the old city and to sleep well and freshen up as we are out the whole day. it is close to El corte ingles if you want to get some shopping done or buy some drinks to stock up. Overall a good stay, standard breakfast and polite staff.

This is not bad, quite clean actually and rooms are decent sized although basic, maybe a little spartan. It does have a refrigerator though. We picked it because it was a good value and had a fitness center. However, we never had to use the gym because we walked for miles in the nearby parks and to the city center. The hotel is not near the city center - its a good 30 minute brisk walk but it is very close to the City of Arts and Sciences and the park build over the dry riverbed. There is a big shopping mall across the street as well as an El Cortes Ingles, a department store with a decent grocery section. There are also a number of interesting restaurants in the area. We happened to arrive during the Fallas festival and the city was hopping, including the area near the hotel. The hotel has parking, the entrance is just before you turn into the driveway to the front of the hotel. The only drawback during our visit was the big group of business men there for a Mercedes Benz training session. It packed the hotel and made getting on the elevators a major hassle - in fact, we were stuck in an elevator packed with people for about 20 minutes.
