We stayed in the Primus Hotel for 5 nights. We got a double room with an extra bed, flat screen tv, bath room with bath tub, toilet and bidet. The beds were good, wifi was free and the shower was great. Recommendation may be to have some coffee making equipment in each room. Garden attached to the hotel is not that great (no chairs, lot of noise from the street). Breakfast buffet is optional (14 euro per person), but not necessary since there are plenty of tabernas near the hotel (e.g. paneria at the corner of the street serves coffee, orange juice and toast for only 3,50 euro). The tabernas also serve tappas. Opposite to the hotel is a shopping mall (Zara, Breshka, McDonalds, restaurants, etc.) and El Corte Ingles. From the hotel you can easily walk to the harbour (20 minutes) and the beach (30 minutes). Distance to the Océanografique en the Jardin El Turia (8.5 km long parc) is several hundreds of meters. This parc is great for walking, running and relaxing. It is great to walk through the parc to the historical centre (about 50 minutes). To my opinion, the hotel is situated in an excellent location to enjoy the great city of Valencia!

We have stayed in Primus Hotel for 4 nights in June.We are very pleased-breakfast was tasty and you could choose from a variety of dishes (many kinds of spanish "tapas",fruits and fresh juices),the staff was very kind and helpful, the room was clean and spacy. It is close to Oceanografic and park where the river Turia was before. It is also close to bus stops so you can easily get to the beach and the town center.I recommend it to those wgo like shopping-2 big centres are just opposite. We would definitely come back.

Room Tip: Our room was quite although it had a view over the main street. They have spaecial rooms for smokers and non-smokers.

We stayed at the Primus for four nights and I have to say that whilst the location is excellent the hotel itself looks like a 4* but in reality it's more like a 3*.
Having stayed in 4* hotels before I think you come to expect a certain level of service and facilities and the Primus just didn't meet those expectations. We booked a Superior room and were disappointed to find that it is the same as a standard room but you all you get bathrobes, slippers and some pods for a coffee machine which is located next to the lifts?! The bed was a standard double which was disappointing as most hotels nowadays have king size as standard. I'd suggest that if you were thinking of booking I'd stick to standard and save your money.
We moved rooms twice in the first 24hours. The first occasion was due to the bed, they are terribly noisy to the point that the slightest movement wakes you up. So the hotel staff changed our room and the bed was pretty much exactly the same. We didn't want to be complaining all the time, plus the hotel staff more or less told us that the beds are a common complaint so we figured that moving to another room wouldn't make a difference, so we stayed put in our new room. Unfortunately the air con in the new room didn't work and was basically kicking out hot air (bearing in mind Valencia is still ~30 degrees in the day and ~25 at night at the moment) we stuck it out until about 1am but couldn't bear it anymore and had to go down to reception. They couldn't fix it so they moved us into another room which was considerably cooler. Again the bed was incredibly noisy, the shower didn't work (it was caked in limescale which had basically blocked all the holes), the fixtures were hanging off the walls and the blinds were torn. By this point we'd resigned ourselves that all the rooms in this hotel must have something wrong with them so we just made do for the remainder of our stay.
Whilst I hate it when people use this site to complain about every single thing about hotels I just felt that I had to write this review because we felt really let down by the fact we'd spent money on something that we had good expectations of and those expectations weren't met. If this hotel was advertised as a 3* I think it would meet the expectations of its customers and get great reviews but there is no way it's 4*.

To summarise; don't go expecting the luxurious large rooms, large beds, plush bathrooms that the hotel photos show you because unfortunately it's just not reality. If you book with 3* standard in mind then you probably won't be disappointed. It's basically a travelodge disguised behind contemporary looking fittings.

I spent 2 nights at the hotel, it was very good. Very close to the Oceanografic and the city of arts and science, also next to a few shopping centers. Highly recommended. I had a double room, very comfortable beds, nice AC, and a great view over the city. Very quiet and clean. The brekfast was a standard buffet but it was good, the coffee was terrible though.

As I looked for place close to see, Aquarium and old city - this place more or less fit for it and as TripAdvisor shows good points - made my choice for this place.
Hotel has good connection of city transport. Additionally if you take Tourist Card - you will have no problems.
After arriving at the airport take some time to have talk at the Information - you can get know useful information which couldn't be find in the Internet.
You can take taxi from airport (app 25 Eur) or metro (Tourist Card for 3 days for 25 Eur give you transportation from and to airport and A zone bus, metro, tram).
Hotel is nice (when come in Spa make too strong aroma of chlorine), staff is good, I think well trained but better communicate with reception (as you could be misunderstand).
My room was very, very spacious (even maybe too spacious for 2 persons). Overall was good, all problems were solving very fast when I told about).
Close to Hotel are lot of coffee places and restaurants but next to Hotel is big Mall.
Enjoyed my staying here and can recommend to others.
P.S. if you have something to improve just talk with staff they will help.
