A group of 10 of us arrived at Alma Palace last Friday for a hen weekend.
The accommodation is in a perfect location - walking distance to many restaurants, bars, shops and the main nightlife, and just a short taxi drive or a bus away from the beach.
It is very modern and very spacious - a living room, dining table, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 dressing rooms, and 4 showers and toilets. The rooftop terrace was a good size too, although might not be big enough if sharing with other people in the complex.
2 big negatives were the fact that the upstairs toilet and air con wasn't working all weekend. This was very disappointing considering there were 6 girls sharing one floor, and made getting ready quite difficult in the heat!
When we arrived we told the check in agent that the air con was't working and he advised that he would get a technician to arrive that evening, However nobody came. We then rang again the next morning and also to explain about the faulty toilet. Again, we were advised a technician would be sent out, however nobody turned up. We tried to ring again but no answer, so sent an email which wasn't replied to until our return home.
Unfortunately I wasn't surprised about this service, considering I also had trouble reaching them on the day of arrival. They email beforehand asking you to let them know your estimated time of arrival, as well as asking you to ring them about an hour before arriving. I tried ringing whilst we were on our way from the airport however couldn't get an answer. I emailed explaining this and received an email back saying there was nothing they could do and it was my responsibility to keep ringing!
All in all I would go back, however would hope for a better level or customer service, and hope that all facilities would be in working condition!
