We are local to the Witterings and were very pleased to see a new restaurant opening in place of one which seemed to have been closed for ages. We finally got round to booking a table on their Monday night locals night and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by the chef (although we were one of the first tables in!) and given some complimentary Courgette bread which sounded revolting but was like lovely moist Gingerbread. The menu for the locals night is a choice of three dishes for three courses at £13 per head and house wine was £10 so for £65 including a tip for four, we had a great meal! I had Soup, chicken and leek pie and shared a chocolate brownie and I can't fault the quality of the locally sourced food.
The normal menu is not cheap but for the quality of the food we had it is reasonable and a decent restaurant is much needed in the Witterings. Hopefully they will continue to look after the locals through the winter and not just the Summer tourist market but I wish them all the best. We will certainly be going back soon!
