“Lovely square with its Cathedral”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014

The Cathedral in Piazza Duomo is worth a visit. Stop for an aperitif in one of bars in the square. Take a walk along Corso Elio Adriano with its shops and characteristic streets. There are fabulous views from the panoramic road of Viale delle Clarisse.

“Worth a visit if your nearby”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2013 via mobile

Atri is a lovely little place. We've visited it twice. On the first occasion we had a wonderful meal in a restaurant in the square then a gelato in a bar just off the square. The second time we had a drink and an ice cream in a bar in the square. There was a nice atmosphere with lots of family's out enjoying the evening. A band had started playing as we were leaving at about ten thirty pm.

“Atri by day or by night....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 November 2012

.... has it's own beauty. Not twee like some of the places manicured in Italy, it is small but lovely town set high up in Abruzzo (Teramo province). By day you need to spend a little time walking around the little quaint back streets and view the loved potted plants that adorn the steps of the peoples houses, then perhaps a sit in the main piazza and an ice cream or vino and watch the world go by. At night a visit out for a meal, first take a prosecco at the Teatro Café, then one of the restaurants near by and finish with coffee or ice cream at one of the many little bars. It is not a big place with lots of tourist things to see, but it is worth a visit if you are near by and have time to take in and appreciate the ambience, perhaps not for those doing a whirlwind tour of Italia! For those with a historic interest, see http://www.abruzzo2000.com/abruzzo/teramo/atri.htm

“Not worth a visit”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 October 2011

It is a small historical town, with not much to do in it.
the views from the town are nice, but I wouldn't recommend getting here just for that.
You can pass this one.
