“Ok for business”
Reviewed 25 December 2011

Very well positioned, the furniture are quite old but enough comfortable. I can suggest Best Western Duca d'Aosta only for business trip, not enough comfortable if you're travelling in leisure mood. Wi fi for free enough fast, it's a shame that they don't you allow to put your car in the garage for free: you've to pay more or less the same amount of money you paid fo the reservation...crazy! It's in one of the principal square of Pescara and it's almost impossible to park the car. However i suggest Duca for business trip, i'm sleeping there every week and it's enough fine...for Pescara obviously...don't forget that we're talking about small Pescara...

Best Western Duca d'Aosta is a city hotel, housed in a tower block and strategically located in the center of Pescara. This entails that it is very difficult to find a parking spot in the vicinity of the hotel. Unless you are lucky and find a spot right next to the entrance of the hotel, as I did :-). Fortunately, they have an underground car park, but it will cost you.
Pescara is a city that really has nothing to offer unless you are there for business or go for the beach. And in the latter case, there are definitely better alternatives.
The staff at reception is friendly and helpful and speak English. The standard rooms are medium in size and so are the bed and the bathroom: sound but no frills. Some rooms, like ours, have a small balcony but because of the hustle bustle you can’t make use of it. Because of the sirens of the to-and-fro ambulances and police cars, you will have to keep the windows closed. Fortunately, the air conditioner is doing very well.
The hotel has no restaurant on site. You have to go into town for dinner. Just across the bridge, the old town (well, the two streets which still remain) has many restaurants and pizzerias.
The breakfast is in the same line as the rest of the hotel. It offers all you need to take a proper start of the day, but don’t expect a wow.
Too bad you can not give a 3.5 evaluation. In general, the hotel is slightly better than average but not very good. So a 3 +, and not 4 -.

My friend and I were staying one night at this Hotel. In spite of its recent repairing (I assume everything was replaced), the very old shower cabin was left untouched with all the lime and rust, which struck a discordant note. Room was small. but cosy and comfortable. One channel in English only :(
Steps at the entrance - hard to move your luggage in and out.
Breakfast was good (except cold eggs, but we asked for a hot one and got it). There were tea facilities in the room!! We were glad!
All the rest was quite good.

Good sized rooms, clean, slightly dated but not worn down. Availability of connected rooms seemed like a good idea, but the walls are a bit too thin...

Service at the reception is excellent.

Breakfast is pretty good, but the buffet is not refilled often enough- you have to ask for more which is not good for a Best Western Hotel.

Placement in the city is pretty good, but I would rather stay at the Plaza next time I'm in Pescara.

I spent four nights in this hotel. The location is close from the sea and from city center, however some hotels have better location in the city.

The rooms are clean, small, and the walls are thin (which means you hear your neighbours very well, and also you hear every noise in the corridor, during day and night...).

The breakfast is ok, but not excellent. If you want an expresso you should ask for it because the waiters/waitresses will not rush to serve you.

The reception is ok, people are nice and smiling.

The parking is very very smal, and expensive, if you can find a parking place in the street, it is much better.

The location of the hotel is convenient as it is close both to the beach , the old town and to bus and train station. The room is clean and the staff is helpfu anf friendlyl. I also liked the variety of the foodstuff provided at the breakfast.
On the other hand, i found the charge for parking quite expensive. Also, the hotel tends to be a bit noisy.
