“Not for us again”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 July 2014

If you're just staying for a couple of nights on business then this is OK, if you're on holiday my advice would be find somewhere else.
Good points: Although the rooms look a bit dated they were clean & comfortable - Top marks for the cleaning staff.
Our room had air con but we'd switch it off before sleeping since it was very noisy.
Breakfast is the usual continental affair but there's enough choice for all tastes.

Bad points: We booked as a family & were put on different floors - not a problem for us since our children are old enough, but people with younger children ought to be aware.
Our room had a balcony but we looked out onto the building opposite - OK on business, but on holiday probably not. Our childrens views were worse. Not much the hotel can do about this though & didn't really trouble us that much.
The fan in our bathroom didn't work & smelt a bit musty - when we reported it we were told it came on a timer & not with the light .... never heard it once!
The shower screen felt like it was about to collapse at any time & if you wanted to use the mirror after a shower you had to leave the door open.
The air con in my sons room was broken & that's the way it stayed.
The visitors welcome book is inaccurate .... the first point is quite minor. I says you have some sachets of tea coffee etc & milk - as tea drinkers we wanted milk & when we told the desk staff we didn't have any milk, they just said that this was incorrect. No problem, we just went & bought a carton, but if you don't get it remove it from the book!
Secondly - the book states that there is a free shuttle to the airport & can be booked 24hrs in advance. We thought we'd take advantage of this & asked at the desk in plenty of time & were told to come & let them know the morning of our departure to arrange a time. When we did this it was a different member of staff & we were told that they didn't run a free shuttle. I pointed out what it said in the welcome book & was told with a shrug of the shoulders the book was again wrong .... Well, remove it from the book then!
We then asked them if they could arrange for a taxi to take us to the airport & we'd pay .... DON'T! Arrange a co.ta.pe taxi yourself. The driver who turned up for us was downright dangerous & was more interested in touting for future business than looking where he was going!
We're quite easy going & this review would have been a better but for a little more effort.
Conclusion .... I shaln't be booking it again.

Old school hotel. You get your keys on a heavy metal fob with a plastic square and micro chip. Once in the room you have to insert the plastic square into the wall slot to turn on the lights. Typical small room. We are on a non smoking floor so our art work is a picture of a man smoking, go figure. You have to turn your key in when you go sightseeing so you loose all power and we think to the fridge, the ac does stay on. When we brought up the fact the refrigerator was not cooling, we were given a bowl of ice cubes. There are 4 small parking spaces in the hotel garage where you can park for a separate fee.( if you do, follow the painted colored line for your space) Tell the desk on check in to turn on your ac, its a separate main switch located at the reception desk. The breakfast in the morning is wonderful. It is very close to the river and walking distance to the beach and numerous restaurants.

Room Tip: Any room with a working fridge.

I was in Pescara last week for a business trip and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. It' s an Old but comfortable hotels, rooms are clean, bathroom non very large but complete. This structure respects Best Western's standards but I think breakfast is a Little higher than That i usually find in this brand: very good croissant with the possibility to refill them with favourite fruit from a smart dispenser, cereals, bread, orange juice on request, very good coffee from an automatic machine, yogurt, cakes (I think homemade)... All is necessary to start a good work's day

This hotel is in a good location,it was clean, bed was comfortable, staff were all friendly and the breakfast was very good.
All in all very good value for a basic hotel,we would definitely go back there.
We have stayed in other Best Westerns and yes they are better but also more expensive, you get what you pay for.

We just returned from spending 3 wonderful nights at this hotel. The beds a super comfy and the breakfast was great. The staff was so helpful. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the beach and they have a special deal with one of the groups that runs the sitting areas on the shore. We loved Pescara and wish we had more time to spend there. The hotel was a good price and in a good location.

I spent 2 nights at this hotel with 25 university students of mine. The location is great: maybe not too close to where the action is but easy to get to by bus and close to the political hub of the city. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and thye constitute the major asset of this hotel which lacks in terms of the infrastructure. The reception furniture looks andi s old. The breakfast variety is not as good as the one to be found in other hotels of the same chain. I was given a beautiful room with an enormous terrace overlooking the belltower of City Hall. Surprisingly, however, I did not have any cold water and had to figure out on my own that someone had closed the main faucet to the room: didn't the cleaning lady notice that it was missing when she went to clea the place? You wonder how much attention they pay to these basic facts. The price is extremely convenient for the quality of the hotel.

True from the outside this hotel leaves one wondering if it will live up to it's 8.4 rating........I found it to be very comfortable. The bed was large and the sheets fresh and excellent quality. The bathroom was a dream with an enormous tub , We also had a large terrace but unfortunately nothing to sit on out there or anything on which to hang out bathing suits. A safe was provided at no extra charge..........I wish we had had free internet connection in the room but for 2 nights it was not a real problem. The international TV was not working but again for 2 days we did not bother to ask for it to be repaired. The room was spotless . Breakfast was adequate. My husband disagrees and feels it was poor, but we had fresh fruit, egg bacon croissant etc, it was a little difficult to work out how to get the delicious looking coffees the Italians were drinking but we had worked that out by the 2nd day and surely that is what foreign holidays are about ...........things should not be too easy or no fun!!!!!
The hotel is near the shopping street a walk from the beach of about 15 minutes which gave us time to explore a bit and find interesting supermarkets etc.
The staff went out of their way to help.
So we are talking about a very good basic hotel, no Palace but great for a couple of nights!
