I am currently in pescara for the sailing week, with a group of friends, and one of them booked this hotel. it is rated 3 stars, but maybe it deserves one and a half. in their website they wrote the hotel has been completely renovated a few years ago. in fact, it is falling apart. on our arrival the bathroom was dirty: long pieces of hair in the bidet, and I had to clean the closet myself(urine stains on it).
quite bad service: with the exception of a man at the reception, they are absolutely inefficient, and it looks like they do not have the slightest idea of how to run a hotel.
breakfast...a croissant, some fruit juices and a cup of cappuccino or a coffe which come to your table 15 minutes after you asked for them (if you are lucky, otherwise they bring you the wrong thing!)
the area is terrible: far from everything (apart the harbour - so for us it is convenient), no shops, rubbish everywhere. there is actually an internet point in a nearby street where people are very nice, and a bus to and from the railway station. that's it.
pescara itself, apart from D'Annunzio house is not worth visiting. and if you so, choose some other hotel, but not the 'holiday'...
