We were recommended the restaurant by the Hotel Sextanto and had walked past to check out the menu. We were hungry - so went the pasta dish followed by main course route. My strozzapretti dish with chicory (I think) was truly superb - one of the best pasta dishes I have eaten. Some of the other pasta choices seemed a bit plain. We had rabbit and boar for main courses - both local specialities and very tasty and very generous portions. To be honest, given the heat outside, lighter choices would have been better!
We found the service rather rushed - probably trying to turn our table as the restaurant filled up as the evening went on. We even started to play games and see how many times we could stop the waitress from taking away our plates! She also seemed very disappointed that we didn't order house wine and insisted on ordering a bottle from the interesting wine list...
Overall some excellent food and a good experience.
