the hotel is perfectly well located, near the old town. the room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is plentiful compare to the normal Italian standards, you can get: bread, cake, cheese, prosciutto, eggs, cereals. the hotel has a garage in the basement, parking places are always available for free, but avoid it if you rent a big car, it's a bit narrow inside. I pay only 40 Euros for one night (Friday to Saturday) included breakfast and parking.

The hotel was a gem on our stay on Cosenza. The staff was kind and helpful, the room was clean, specious and well equipped with a balcony and air condition. Breakfast was good. The hotel is situated near the old town.

We stayed five nights in hotel Vescovo Rosso. The location at the outskirts of town is ideal: you can walk into the old town center in less than 15 minutes and for exploring the surroundings by car you are immediately on the road. The room had a balcony and was rather large because beside the bedroom and the bathroom, there was also a sort of kitchenette with a table and four chairs and above all a large fridge. In front of the hotel is a roundabout, so there is a lot of traffic passing by, making a lot of noise. If you are a bad sleeper, earplugs are necessary. To Italian standards the breakfast is plentiful: beside the "dolce", there was also bread, some cheese,Italian prosciutto and boiled eggs. What I also appreciated very much was the garage in the basement: always parking space available safely tucked away from the public road (very important in Italy because of the lack of it and the way the Italians drive). On the ground flour of this hotel you find the "Ristorante pizzeria La Locanda". The food served is of a good quality and reasonable priced. We had dinner there for the five days we stayed in the hotel. The Vescovo Rosso is a good choice if you intent to discover Cosenza and the surroundings, price quality is correct.

Stayed here whilst cycling solo from Lancashire to Sicily in June 2014.
A modern hotel which, despite it's location on a busy junction was quiet and comfortable. Very friendly and informative staff and a very good restaurant just outside the hotel. A little out of the way but a pleasant walk to the old town and back thought the city itself.
Good breakfast.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 night's in a triple room. Between the 1st and 2nd night the towels were not changed despite putting them on the floor to be changed. Instead they placed back on the hooks. The 3rd person was accommodated on a sofabed instead of a normal bed with a thin mattress that you could feel the steel frame penetrating your back. To add insult to injury, on the last night, the hotel hosted a function on the ground floor. When the function ended around 23:30, the staff started dragging all the tables and chairs from ground floor to the terrace on the 3rd floor using the guests lift amidst the loud noise and shouting by the hotel staff. I was dozing off and needless to say, I was wide awake. At 00:30 I jumped out of bed and went to look for the night receptionist who was not found. I asked the staff to refrain from making all that chaos cause paying guests need to sleep. Not even 1 member of the hotel staff acknowledged my complaint or apologised. The following morning when I complained to the receptionist, he confirmed he knew that this idiotic thing will take place and it was normal for them to do so. Hospitality professionalism at it's best....NOT! never again! Will definitely discourage anyone from staying in this place
