Had lunch on the terrace at this restaurant just off the main square in Amalfi. One on the best meals eaten. This place is fine dining and how it does not have a Michelin Star !!. Even though fine dining it is also relaxed and informal. The food and the staff are the stars of the show.
Raviolo with tomato and ricotta, carpaccio of tuna, the highlight was a local fish for two, simply grilled with lemon and olive oil, The best fish eaten for a long time - so fresh. Tiramisu 2010 is a different take on the original but definately worth it.
A very extensive wine list. Had GAJA Alteni di Brassica 2012 - absolutely stunning wine (Sav Blanc) not cheap but worth every euro. Could eat here every day - but would spoil a good thing. Meal for two (4 courses each) without wine about 75€ per head which given the quality is excellent value.
