My friends and I had a meal here in May 2014 and it rivals any previous "best' meal I've ever eaten in a restaurant. We were greated warmly by everyone at this restaurant. All of the dishes were described to great detail. The meal itself was delicious. If you would like to have a meal in a beautiful setting, in an unhurried and relaxed manner - this is the place. This restaurant is obviously a labour of love for the family that owns the Trattoria.
The wine suggestion was perfect. We had a lovely meal of a shrimp dish as a first course. We all had the famous seafood parchment pasta as our second dish. This dish is very deserving of all the positive reviews it gets. I then had perfectly cooked halibut for my main. We were brought complimentary limoncello at the end of our meal and an amuse bouche to begin our meal. It was fantastic.
Everything was so fresh, and attention was paid to the use of local ingredients. The family farm serves as the supplier of most of the meal in this restaurant.
I have no doubt that I will be back to visit Amalfi and I will surely return to this restaurant to experience this beautiful food once again.
