“Nothing fancy but honest food at a fair price”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

The mixed seafood grill here is prepared from fresh product and is very tasty. The Villa Mathilde fiano at 20 euros a bottle was an ideal accompaniment. Service was fine and the well chilled complimentary limoncello at the conclusion of the meal was the best we struck in two weeks in Italy. The young waiter told us it was fatta in casa by his mother and if that is indeed the case, she knows what she is doing. The rating of very good takes into account the value.

“Nice restaurant in Amalfi”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

We had a very pleasant lunch here. My daughter had lemon spaghetti which is a specialty in Amalfi and I had spaghetti carbonara and both were very good! The service was good too.

If we have a chance to come back to Amalfi, we would surely like to come back to this restaurant.

“Away from the hustle and bustle”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

We ate here on our first night in Amalfi as it was near our accommodation and had been recommended by our taxi driver. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the main street of Amalfi which can be an advantage. The meal was cheaper than a lot of other restaurants but we had better similarly priced meals down in the main bit of Amalfi.

“Genuine food & service”
Reviewed 29 May 2014 via mobile

We visited Ristorante Pizzeria II Mulino as it was just up the road from our apartment. The food was delicious and the service excellent. It's a modest restaurant, with fair prices and tasty meals. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant!

“Nothing fancy but good food at a good price”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

We were staying only a couple of minutes away from this restaurant so it seemed an obvious choice for our first night in Amalfi.

The outdoor tables were in an awning off the main restaurant - it was cool and had been raining but with a patio heater on it was OK to sit outside. The waiter spoke good English so we were soon ordering drinks and looking at the menu. There were about 20 pizzas and a range of antipasti, first and second courses. They have a wood burning pizza oven so couldn't resist trying the pizzas.

To start we tried the mixed starters and mixed sea food - both had a good selection of the local food - prawns, mussels, salami, mushrooms etc and despite being a full plate each they didn't fill us up too much. They also gave us some bread - which was actually a crispy pizza base cut into slices with herbs and salt on top - very nice!

The pizzas had good crispy bases just how we liked them and tasted good with a good quantity of toppings - for the money they were great but lacked the flavour of the best pizzas we've eaten in Italy.

So overall we had a very nice meal which with drinks cost €52 for the 2 of us - which we thought was very good value. Give it a try if you want to get away from the higher prices around the main square.
