There is nothing further to add other than it being an experience not just a destination. From the incredible decor to the charming bottle of local Lemoncello that welcomed us, every detail matched the unbelievable view from every window. A week spent in heaven with a team dedicated to reminding us the Italians know what it is to live like the Gods! We will return as often as we can get to magical Amalfi.

This hotel made Amalfi our favorite stop on our honeymoon. We would not have enjoyed the coast as much if we did not have the view...breakfast with a view....dinner with a view...an amazing infinity pool with a view....the list goes on. Worth every penny for a special occasion. You will not be disappointed. Make sure you get a room with a view...its worth it!

Room Tip: 501-505 best views and open air windows in Italy......

We stayed here for 3 nights 2 days at the end of our honeymoon. Right from arrival- the service is beyond outstanding. Due to travel delays- we missed our 9pm reservation at the restaurant for dinner. No matter- they kept the kitchens open just a bit later to accommodate us at 10:45pm. Fulvia, I believe the manager, is a particularly funny and warm person- we spent about 1/2 chatting with her on our second afternoon. Amalfi is a quick walk away (<10 min), but it's hard to find a reason to leave this lovely space. The pool is heated with such an amazing view. The food is also great at the hotel- and comparable to the nicer restaurants in town.

I can't think of one thing to improve.

Room Tip: All the rooms have amazing views- and a balcony room really isn't necessary- since so many place...

Gorgeous hotel and views, wonderful staff and service but the location was very stressful for us.
Firstly there are 2 elevators to the rooms one from the road to the reception and then another one to the rooms. I don't like elevators especially when they're the size of a postage stamp so I elected to take the long, steep stairs....good workout though!
The hotel sits right on the amalfi coast road so it's really hectic and dangerous and for my mother and I trying to cross the road it was really scary.
The positives are that the ferry is really close by and you can take it to other towns on the coast just like a bus or even across to Capri.
The hotel was really quiet which I liked and I'd definitely recommend it but I don't think it had that vacation feeling as it was just so hectic and co plicated to get anywhere.
I think a great place to stay would be positano and then take the ferry across to Capri for a few days. the Amalfi coast is just a very hectic road with hotels dotted along it, theres no place to walk ...I found it stressful.
One fault of the hotel was the closet space and drawers.....very limited.

Arriving from a stay at the Conde Nast #3 hotel in Europe, my wife and I had had great 5 great days of 5 star service.....the hotel was a quick 5 min taxi/ shuttle from the ferry. We were greeted warmly by the two Antonella's - yes there's 2 ( shocking I know). :)...and with the firm handshake of the general manager Fulvia, I knew we were in good hands.

The hotel is was renovated by NH hotels...it was originally a 12 century monastery carved out of the side of the mountain. It's simply magnificent, and the Reno job done by NH is a design beauty. Simple elegance mixed with Miami white chic make every room..from lighting decor to simple fittings a true success. The terrace overlooks the harbour and coastline ..where we enjoyed 4 meals over 2 days there...very romantic..and made that much more enjoyable by a true 5 star experience in dining and service. Breakfast lunch and especially dinner ..no need to hit resto's that for the most part don't deliver food quality for the price...everything is expensive every where in Amalfi..here you get more than your money's worth...

Special note that North Americans will appreciate...it was a long winter also here in Italy...and in general everywhere you go, from a Taxi ride down the street, or for buying a single espresso at the coffee joint on the corner...Caveat Emptor should be alive and we'll..all Italians, with a smile are trying to make up for that long winter...however, this does not apply at his hotel..it does the minute you step outside tho.

Our room was on the same floor as the centuries old church set within the hotel. It was very modernly appointed with the same design flare as the rest of the hotel..except with the funky all glass shower that truly makes the room unique..best shower in Italy in 20 years visiting here...

The photo oops at this place are too numerous to mention..it's an artist paradise as well....The food prepared by Chef Alberto was delectable...the octopus salad, to the local coffee cake..amazing...and had prepared Turkish coffee prepared Italian style with some little surprises of chocolate in it to top the meal. Massimo and Paolo delivered true 5 star service...which is rarely received, but easy to book online as any seasoned traveler knows.

They don't disappoint in anyway at this hotel. We'll done NH...

Room Tip: 408 is split level with all glass shower raised above sleeping area. Very cool. Has three original c...

After a rather whirlwind swing through Milan, Venice and Florence, it was a pleasure to relax a few days at this awesome property. Staff was cordial, helpful and knowledgable. Fulvia was pleased to share her knowledge of the convent and it's restoration. While the room was on the smallish side and not much n the decor department, the view and ambience made up for any slight deficiencies. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends.

Room Tip: Being on the fifth floor made all amenities more accessible
