Description: L'Abside italian Restaurant is situated in the centre of Amalfi, in the charming Piazza dei Dogi. L'abside is one of the most popular choices for tourists visiting the Amalfi Coast every year, both for the quality of its food and the professional and warm welcome given by the staff. We offer a selection of fresh local fish, meat and vegetable dishes on our menu, all excerpt from the "Mamma Gaetana's" recipes handbook.

We were very happy with our meal, a great little restaurant where everything was attended to without fuss. There was a slight misunderstanding with our bruschetta and it was very quickly sorted and the correct one brought out. Our mains were perfect (seafood risotto and special fish dish). We enjoyed the service, the location and the quality of the menu.

“Great lunch just a little back from the chaos!”

In a quieter square this is a delightful little restaurant. Helpful servers. Fresh ingredients! Especially enjoyed the Caprese ravioli!

“Very nice restaurant”

Nice restaurant in an old chapel, on one of the nicest squares of Amalfi. Just get away from the bustle of the main square, and enjoy an evening of nice food, and pleasant people.

“Wonderful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 May 2014

Giovanna, the owner, was right on spot when she recommended me a pasta dish made with the Amalfi's rock fish that called " pasta cuoccio". The fish was almost boneless and the tomato sauce on the homemade pasta was delicious. The rest of the family chose pasta dishes, there was no disappointment on those either. At the end of meal, she served us her mother's limoncello which made from green cedros. We tried out many limoncellos at the cost inc Sorrento and this one was the best! It was not sweet as others and was refreshing. I wished she was selling it in her restaurant! Even though she didn't have it for sale, in the middle of her work she took us to nearby shop that sells limoncellos. What a hospitality!
