“Beautiful Grand Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 June 2014 via mobile

This gorgeous hotel is prime position for amalfi coast travelling. It is perched on the side of a cliff and is an awesome experience. You can ferry out to any port along the coast by a two minute walk. The terrace is beautiful, the buffet delicious and the staff excellent.
The only negative would be the pool and older style bathrooms. But that being said it was exceptionally clean! Not a pool resort experience but that would be wasting your precious time on the amalfi anyway!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Marina Riviera. We had a balcony that overlooked the cliffs and it was an amazing view. The hotel seems like it has one of the best views of the town of Amalfi (I actually saw a similar view featured on a postcard). The daily breakfast is delicious with eggs made to order. Relaxing pool deck. The room had a lot of charm and they left cookies and water each night before bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also gave us a bottle of champagne for our anniversary!

Our only issue was our noisy neighbors that arrived the second to last night. The wall between the rooms seemed pretty thin and we heard them watching tv, opening their safe in the room, talking loudly, etc.

Other than the noisy neighbors, the hotel was fabulous and we really enjoyed our stay!

Brief review for Hotel Marina Riviera. Returned from Amalfi earlier today. This included a three night stay at this place and I would recommend it to anyone who was visiting the coast. I pretty much liked everything about it - all the team are friendly and helpful, generous breakfast, all very clean, good supervised pool, nice turndown service and a great location. Unfortunately we didn't have time to try the main hotel restaurant but it looked pretty nice too.

One thing that might be helpful to know is that it is a good 90 minutes drive to the airport, we were lucky enough to be given that advice by reception sop we didn't end up killing ourselves on the stunning coastline where driving regulations so seem to be a bit loose.

If you get time when you are staying here take a left out of the hotel and walk to the next village around the bend (be careful on the road). Nice little beach and a bit less busy than the main town.

Stayed for three nights in May. Had a deluxe room with a balcony overlooking the ocean and town. When we checked in and were escorted to our room and opened the door our jaws dropped at the view. We had been traveling for 16 days and this was our last stop to rest and just take in the views so it was perfect for us. Good breakfast and nice pool deck but small pool. We'll worth the extra money to get a room with a balcony.

We have just returned from this wonderful hotel, the hotel has a lovely terrace which overlooks the bay and the rooftop sun deck & pool area does the same. The hotel itself was clean, bright & comfortable & we were lucky enough to be upgraded as it was our 25th wedding anniversary. All staff at the hotel were very polite, helpful & attentive and helped to arrange trips and transport. The breakfast was something to look forward to every morning, pastries, fruit, yogurts, cold meats and cheeses with eggs to order, served by friendly staff. Not only would I recommend this hotel but I look forward to visiting again in the future.

Stayed for 9 nights and loved every bit of the hotel. Were greeted on check in with a quick overview of the area which was helpful and then had drinks and fruit in the room. Views from room and hotel in general were stunning. The staff were very helpful and attentive to all needs.
Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Room with balcony is worth the extra expense.

We stayed at the Hotel Marina Riviera for 3 nights in May. It was a treat to stay at such a wonderful hotel with such friendly and accommodating staff. We stayed in a Deluxe suite and the room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. We also had a lovely balcony overlooking the Amalfi coast. Everything was very clean and inviting. The staff was very helpful in helping us plan our day and helping us figure out how to get to where we needed to go via bus or ferry. We also met many of the other guests, who were all very friendly. Many were repeat visitors of the hotel. The breakfast of pastries, fruit, cereals, yogurts, meats, cheeses and made to order eggs was exceptional. Our stay could not have been any better at this hotel.
