We arrived early June for a 5 night stay and were not disappointed.
The service that we have received from all staff has been outstanding, in particular Roberto, Alonso and Marco.
Breakfast is buffet style, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, selection of meats, cheeses and pastries, together with a menu to order a selection of egg dishes e.g. omelettes, poached etc. The quality was excellent with views across the bay from the eating area.
We stayed in the junior suite, this is very spacious and like the hotel is spotless. The balcony offers an astonishing sea view as you will see from my picture.
On the 3rd floor there is a pool area, again with fantastic views across the bay, beach towels are provided and at the time of our visit there was no shortage of sun beds. there is a small pool and manned bar with a supply of soft and alcoholic drinks available.
The main square of Amalfi is only a 5 minute flat walk, where there is an abundance of cafes and restaurants. The ferry and bus station, again only a 5 minute walk that can transport you to a number of Amalfi Coast towns.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again at a later date. Thanks.

Room Tip: pick a sea view

This is a jewel overlooking the enchanting Amalfi town centre and harbour. Amazing views, wonderful staff and literally steps away from restaurants etc although you don’t hear a thing due to great insulation. Rooms are modern, clean with panoramic views from ours. (51)
Loved the place. Sadly no time to extend visited.

Positives:
The hotel had plenty of charm and we had a wonderful view from our room. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the room was made up twice a day with a little edible treat and water each night on our return.
We were able to sit out on the terrace for breakfast and admire the view. The pool area was also really nice and well maintained. The hotel was a five minute walk from the main square.
Negatives:
With the abundance of citrus fruits growing everywhere I would have expected freshly made juices at breakfast rather than concentrated juice
Bring your own shampoo and conditioner as they supplied ones called 0 percent. They didn’t work presumably because they don’t contain anything needed to do the job. I had to use 3 bottles of shampoo to get a lather and when I finally managed to squeeze out the conditioner I had to keep checking it wasn’t body lotion.
Finally cocktails at the hotel are twice as expensive as the cocktails sold along the beach or in the centre of town.

My husband and I stayed at HMR for our 20th wedding anniversary and could not have booked a more perfect hotel. The location is a 5 minute walk from the center of town and near everything (shopping, restaurants, activities, and beach). Our room was spacious (private bathroom with shower, hot tub, king-sized bed and private balcony) and faced both the ocean and the cliff where you can see beautiful scenery during the day and the city lit up at night. The pool was a refreshing relief after a hot day and the extensive morning buffet breakfast was delicious with new foods to try every day. In addition to the amazing accommodations, the staff was extremely friendly, attentive, helpful and concerned with making our stay as perfect as possible. The staff all speak excellent English and are easy to communicate with at any time day or night. They made our trip a memorable event, and I would not hesitate to recommend the Hotel Marina Riviera to anyone who wants visit Amalfi.

I also would recommend booking excursions for nearby cities using the local travel Agency "Touring Point" who will well known by the hotel staff. We booked three amazing side trips to Ravello, Pompeii and Capri which made our stay even better!

Room Tip: All rooms have amazing view of the city and ocean.

This hotel is perched on one of the last bends that lead into the town of Amalfi. The town itself is charming and friendly with breathtaking views and lots of shops and eateries .
The hotel itself is very good. Wonderfully clean and very comfortable and its vantage point offers spectacular views. It is also quiet at night which aids a good night’s rest which you will need after all the sightseeing.
The room we had was very clean and complements must be paid to the housekeeping staff. Our room was in a roof annexe though with a very low ceiling over the bed which required you to bend constantly or end up with banging your head on one of the beams. No balcony but a large window that gave a great view. No privacy though/ our room was on a level with the pool and anyone caring to, could look straight into our room.
The breakfast was okay. Not a huge selection , and I have had better quality in other hotels of similar ratings, but it was fresh which is great. And the balcony overlooking the sea is a delightful way to start your day.
Found the staff, aside from the cleaning staff, a little aloof. Not unfriendly and would help you but not hugely accommodating we felt.
Niggles- cost of alcohol was ridiculous. A Bacardi and coke was €15 which is just outrageous . And the lift- if it could go any slower I’m not sure we would have noticed!!!
In summary though, a very good hotel beautifully situated in a delightful town.
