We made a late booking whilst travelling around Italy and were so pleased we chose this hotel. It is a fair way up the hill from Amalfi itself but this means the views of the coast and of Amalfi town are stunning.
There is a hotel bus which makes return journeys to Amalfi, but if you are able to at least walk down to town using the steps it is well worth it.
Our room was huge and beautifully decorated and had a balcony with sea view. It was so lovely throwing open the french doors in the morning or watching the stars at night.
The restaurant staff were lovely and very helpful and the food was wonderful - ate far too much!
The pool is on a terrace overlooking the sea and is a lovely place to chill and read a book, or just enjoy the scenery.
We wandered into the local village up the hill one night and ate in a local trattoria which had lovely fresh fish and good pizzas. The staff there didn't really speak English but they were incredibly helpful.
