“No customers...bad gelato”

Should have realized by the fact that there were no customers that this was not the place to eat...but thought 'how bad could gelato be?" Now, I might have misunderstood, but the sign said 'Nutella Ice Cream,' which it was not - it was just Nutella. The Dark Chocolate did not have a good flavor. The Coffee flavor had ice chips in it. Not recommended. This place has a great location right on the square in Amalfi. Only place that did not have customers this evening.

This establishment has the dubious distinction of making the worst pizza I had during my week in Amalfi. It was like the kind of pizza you might expect to get at, say, a seafood restaurant that offers one mediocre pizza as a token menu item. The crust was the worst part-- clearly not made at the restaurant, blah. The only redeeming quality of this place is its location on the piazza. My waitress was nice, but I noticed her manipulative and extremely pushy technique of getting people to order dessert. It almost seemed like she wouldn't take no for an answer, and her technique worked! Go elsewhere for pizza that costs the same but tastes much, much better!

The food here is average. But the service was incredible. Our waitress was fun and chatty, and give us lots of tips for the area. This restaurant looks into the main square, and so the location is wonderful. Food portions are small, and it's clear from the signage that the food prices change with the season. But a great place for a three euro cappuccino and a beer (five euros) - it was a large one!

The food is great - excellent value and no cover charge - not sure what everyone else was talking about. The staff (family-run business) were a highlight to our trip here. Came back everyday of our trip - and the free Italian lessons were a bonus.

The prices on the displayed menu at the entrance of the restaurant are different than the ones on the menus we got from the waitress. My husband noticed but we disregarded as it was just a couple of additional euros. The waitress was funny though and full of life and it shows that she loves people. I'm glad we didn't order granite di limone after reading the rip off technique they use there since we don't want to start our stay in Amalfi with a wrong impression about this lovely place.
