We stayed in room Maria D’Aragona for 5 nights. It was the perfect amount of idyllic charm and modern amenities. The room has a barrel ceiling and a window and set of doors leading to the balcony. The balcony was our favorite spot. We couldn’t wait to get up in the morning and wake up staring at the ocean and hearing the noises of the piazza below.
The bed is firm, as is the norm in Italy. We had no trouble sleeping. The AC is not very strong but works. The bathroom is well appointed and includes a built in blow dryer, slippers, toiletries, and jet shower. It is important to note that irons are not legally allowed in hotel rooms in Italy. Plan your wardrobe accordingly.
The breakfast is a good mix of pastries, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, meat and cheese. My favorite part was sipping a cappuccino on the breakfast terrace taking in all the views.
This is a small family run bed and breakfast. You can see they take so much pride in their business. Many people complained about the stairs. There are stairs but you shouldn’t come to Amalfi if you can’t handle them.Wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else on the coast when we come back!More
