This has to have one of the best positions of any apartment in Amalfi - views right out to the harbour, far enough away from the buses so you don't get the noise, and of course on the other side of the road. At the same time, though, it's only about a 2 minute walk to the central piazza. The apartment is as described in other reviews - basic, but has everything you need, spacious, and for a winter stay it has the great advantage of all day sun. Nice and warm, unlike some of its competition. We stayed a week and only wish we could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: Ask for number 7 - two verandas and a great view of the sea from the shower!

Two of my friends and I stayed in Camere con Vista for 2 days which were enough to impress us. The room was simple but included everything to make our stay comfortable. The room was spacious, clean, and airconditioned.

But the view was outstanding!! From the balcony we got what I consider the best view in Amalfi as it overlooked the beautiful port and Medditerranean. Also, it was well situated, a one minute walk from the busy Amalfi downtown, square, port, and coast line especially that Amalfi has steep roads. But the room, being away from the town, was quiet.

Although the occupancy was high, we haven't felt any noise..We also enjoyed having breakfast in a square in the town rather than a closed place..

James, the manager, made us feel at home as he met us the first day in the square, carried our luggage to the room, led us to the parking, and made sure our stay was comfortable. He guided us to nice restaurants and helped us throughout.. Now, we think, we have a friend in Amalfi to whom we resorted throughout our stay in the Amalfi Coast.

The only drawback was the parking which was quite far from the hotel, but the escorting service kind of resolved the problem.

All in all, I can say it was best value for the money we paid especially that Amalfi is the gem of the coast..

I highly recommend staying at Camere Con Vista and if I ever go back, I would definitely pick up the same place..

Thanks James for making our stay unforgettable

We stayed here for 5 nights in the middle of the silly season in july. We chose Camere Con Vista as we were looking for a two bedroom appartment and most of these required you staying a week. We weren't disappointed. We booked a Family room for us and our daughter and her girlfriend, girls had single beds in Spacious Kitchen Lounge area while we had double room. Views were Fantasic, our balcony overlooked the Marina and had great coastal views. Weather was very hot but sea was great and room had airconditioning. James was great, meeting us at the bus , helping with luggage and anything else that we needed. We were very happy with our Coffee and Croissants for breakfast and regularily went back there for evening drinks. Food in Amalfi was good everywere we went but we particularily liked a restaraunt called Lo Smeraldino which was right down the end of the Marina away from the Main Square. You are sitting just mertres away from some of those yachts we all dream about owning and the food is delicious. Overall thought Camere Con Vista was very good value for Family room and was close to beach and restaraunts. Lots of steps on the Amalfi Coast but to get to our room seemed a lot easier than a lot of other hotels. Rooms are next to road and port so expect some outside noise if you sleep with windows open. Not a problem with windows closed and AC on. Come and enjoy

Room Tip: Not all rooms have balconies that you can sit outside on. Some only have small standing room only balconies

Because the hotel manager really takes good care of you! James really made us feel welcomed & that we've got a friend in Amalfi coast. You can expect that he will ensure that you know how to find your way to the hotel. He came to meet us at the square upon our arrival, showed us to our room - and carried our luggages up the many flights of stairs, such a sweetheart he is! Both me and my girlfriend were totally impressed (thankful as well) with this gentleman :))

You can ask him anything about your stay and the island, he will attend to your questions very patiently. We got a clean, neat ocean facing room. Location of hotel was awesome, with the bus station and ferry terminal right in front of the hotel, 2 mins walk. We went to Positano and Capri after Amalfi, have to say the Amalfi is the most charming of all...the hospitality definitely plays a big part here. Thank you James, for the extra mile :) - jacqueline

I stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights with 3 girlfriends in early May. We paid a pretty reasonable price and got the apartment at the very top, with 2 balconies and beautiful views of the ocean. The apartment was clean and simple, perfect for us to chill out by night and very well situated next to the jetty and bus area to catch buses to other towns along the coast. All of us travelled with a giant suitcase each, and from the moment we met the manager of the hotel, James, we were impressed by his hospitality- he carried each of our super-heavy luggages up what seemed like 15 flights of stairs each way when we arrived and departed, and was very helpful throughout our stay showing us around, helping us book travel tickets, etc. We were really sad to leave this place and this was definitely a highlight of our Italian adventure. Highly recommend staying here!
