Description: The restaurant born of love for the theater of Naples, in particular that of Eduardo. In a taste of the past but with an eye to the future, you can enjoy a typical Neapolitan cuisine with a modern twist, they excel soups, meat sauce, pasta mixed with potato Montoro, in short, a real treat for anyone They love the flavors of the past together with the high quality of the products selected carefully, every day, including Gragnano pasta. The restaurant has 11 tables, each with names of characters from the plays of Eduardo, is a cozy and intimate, you can breathe a bit 'of art and culture, a restaurant that has the honor of the visit of great artists such as Gino Rivieccio, Mauritius Micheli, Maestro Antonello Cascone, Christian De Sica and others that we will find along with our wonderful customers. And now we just have to get comfortable and enjoy our delicacies, we are waiting. Tony Massa owner

“Beautiful room, excellent meal - hard to find”
Reviewed 21 October 2011

My iPhone was not connecting well in Salerno, so the mapping was inconsistent. The operator of the Salerno Centro claimed he did not know of the restaurant when I told him of our dinner plans (though the next day , he said it was "the finest restaurant in Salerno"). Closer to dinner time, I begin asking people on the street where to find the adress. The third person actually escorted us , though he led us next door to a pizzeria instead, where he greeted the owner and tried to hand us off . We thanked the man and excused ourselves to La Cucina di Eduardo.
We were the first in the restaurant around 8pm on a Thursday. Two couples would later join us. The house white wine was a great local Campania varietal. All the courses that evening were excellent. The woman that was running the room took our order and explained eveything good English. We stuck to the daily specials and everything was prepared perfectly. I know I had a pasta and perfectly fried anchovies (alici) . The interior of the restaurant was beautiful. Dark and romantic- a perfect use of the space. The music was great as well. Another great meal in Italy and probably among our top 2 - with previous stops in Bologna and Venice, and a subsequent stay in Rome.

“the best dinner i had in italy”
Reviewed 7 June 2011

I had a dinner in la cantina di eduardo in may. a friend of mine suggested this amazing restaurant. I had a very pleasurable experience.
The restaurant is settled in a narrow street close to the sea of salerno
the food was tasty and with a special touch of "Neapolitanity". the flavour of the wines from mount Vesusius was the right way to enrich the tasting.
simply extraordinary was the particular care of the customers by Nunzia and Mina that made my experience more pleasurable.
the overall is an interesting window on Neapolitan culture.
the best dinner I had in Italy
definitely a restaurant where to come back and to suggest to friends.
