My iPhone was not connecting well in Salerno, so the mapping was inconsistent. The operator of the Salerno Centro claimed he did not know of the restaurant when I told him of our dinner plans (though the next day , he said it was "the finest restaurant in Salerno"). Closer to dinner time, I begin asking people on the street where to find the adress. The third person actually escorted us , though he led us next door to a pizzeria instead, where he greeted the owner and tried to hand us off . We thanked the man and excused ourselves to La Cucina di Eduardo.
We were the first in the restaurant around 8pm on a Thursday. Two couples would later join us. The house white wine was a great local Campania varietal. All the courses that evening were excellent. The woman that was running the room took our order and explained eveything good English. We stuck to the daily specials and everything was prepared perfectly. I know I had a pasta and perfectly fried anchovies (alici) . The interior of the restaurant was beautiful. Dark and romantic- a perfect use of the space. The music was great as well. Another great meal in Italy and probably among our top 2 - with previous stops in Bologna and Venice, and a subsequent stay in Rome.
