Description: The restaurant born of love for the theater of Naples, in particular that of Eduardo. In a taste of the past but with an eye to the future, you can enjoy a typical Neapolitan cuisine with a modern twist, they excel soups, meat sauce, pasta mixed with potato Montoro, in short, a real treat for anyone They love the flavors of the past together with the high quality of the products selected carefully, every day, including Gragnano pasta. The restaurant has 11 tables, each with names of characters from the plays of Eduardo, is a cozy and intimate, you can breathe a bit 'of art and culture, a restaurant that has the honor of the visit of great artists such as Gino Rivieccio, Mauritius Micheli, Maestro Antonello Cascone, Christian De Sica and others that we will find along with our wonderful customers. And now we just have to get comfortable and enjoy our delicacies, we are waiting. Tony Massa owner

“Charming little restaurant with delicious food”
Reviewed 28 May 2012

We found this restaurant by chance , although as noted by other reviewers it is not an easy place to find (we were looking for another restaurant which was closed). We visited at lunchtime just before the siesta but the service was excellent as was the food. We were not very hungry so shared antipasto, a pasta dish and one with little grilled fish - unfortunately don't remember the name, but they were not sardines. Dessert was a divine ricotta and pear tart.

Light jazz in the background provided great atmosphere to a really good meal.

“Excellent, if somewhat mysterious, meal!”
Reviewed 12 May 2012

We visited this restaurant after consulting the reviews on Tripadvisor and ended up being the only dinner guests on the night we visited. I'm not sure why they were empty as the food was excellent, though english was a challenge and we weren't exactly sure what was on the menu! The antipasto just kept coming out though and it was fresh and delicious! We both had the steak which was so well cooked and we had an excellent meal in this cosy little restaurant. It's a little tricky to find, but worth the hunt for a cosy, delicious meal.

“Fresh and delicious seasonal cuisine”
Reviewed 29 March 2012

On our last night in Italy, friends and I were delighted to find this small restaurant, oozing with atmosphere, that dishes up a variety of fresh local cuisine. We started with a mixed apetizer plate that consisted of a stew made of old bread and cheese in a leek (absolutely delicious!), grilled eggplant, cheeses, and other treats. My "primo" was fresh pasta with tiny calamari, as big as pencil erasers, and my "secondo" was stuffed calamari, prepared Mediterranean style. After so much tasty food, we still couldn't pass up dessert. This restaurant was classy and unpretentious with very friendly waitstaff. I only wished that we had stayed in Salerno a few more days to make a repeat visit.

“A most pleasant evening, with a lovely atmosphere and reasonably priced food.”
Reviewed 26 October 2011

We decided to visit this restaurant based on the reviews on here, particularly as two had suggested it was amongst the best meals they have eaten in Italy. It did take some finding, but we are glad we made the effort. (Involving caching google maps whilst still at our hotel, and using gps - though I would suggest a map would be better!) The waiter, (apparently his first night?) was actually French, and was most helpful with translating the menu to English for us. (He did translate spinach as "small green pepper", but thankfully I love spinach so no harm done!) We had the antipasto, which was plenty for two, and a delicious selection of 3 separate plates of food, plus bread of course. For the main, my partner went with the pork, which turned out to be sausages. The potatoes he had with this were a little soggy, and I felt the sausages were very salty, but fine. I had a fish dish, with spinach. The fish was delicious, the spinach had a tartness I wasn't expecting, but overall I was happy. The waiter insisted we had a chocolate pudding, which was indeed delicious, and he kindly gave us a lemon-based liqueur "on the establishment". The atmosphere was relaxed, the surroundings cosy, and gentle jazz music played. Coke and water were the only non-alcoholic drink options. All in all, a pleasant evening, and at 47 euros for the two of us, (shared antipasto, two mains, two puddings, a glass of wine and a bottle of still water) we were happy.
