“Agnese - "Nice hosts, great location"”

The apartment had a great location, right in the heart of Sorrento, It had a lovely courtyard too.
We spent 5 nights in the upstairs cosy apartment, it was clean, comfortable and well eqiupped.
Each room had its own air conditioner. The terrace on top of the apartment was amazing.
Antonio and his mother were very kind and helpful, Antonio had a good sense of humour which I liked and appreciated very much.
We would highly recommend Villa Elisa to everyone, we could not find better place in Sorrento.
Thank you Antonio for evefrything, hope to be back some day.

We stayed 4 nights and it surpassed our expectations. The situations is ideal - it's situated off a beautiful square (with our own Dali outside the window side-by-side with St Antoninio!) but within 10 minute walk of the train/bus station, supermarket for all the essentials and about a two minute walk to a lift (one euro) which takes you to the ferry port for Capri and beaches. Firstly, the apartment is divine. We had the upper appartment which consisted of a small, very well equipped kitchen, a living/dining room with TV and window overlooking the square with orange trees, separate bedroom with walk in closet and included a safe and a bathroom. The apartment also had air con in the main area and bedroom along with heating if required. We had our own veranda but the whole ground area was a beautiful courtyard. The apartments were inside a locked gate but there was never any fear of crime. Antonio, his mum and Louisa, the cleaner, were all very pleasant and helpful but not intrusive. I know some people found it noisy at times but we didn't experience it as being noisy but we were aware of Sorrento being alive! We spent every evening walking the beautiful little lanes and enjoying the shops and food! Also, public transport is cheap - take the trains to Pompeii and Herculaneum which are really cheap (concessions, bring ID and you get in half price!). Also, the hop-on/hop off bus along the Amalfi Coast is about £6.50 for the whole day. Well worth every penny, but start early, it's a long day, but oh so worth it!

I spent my Summer in Sorrento and part of my time was spent in a cozy apartment at Villa Elisa. I couldn't have been happier with the location which was in a friendly piazza only steps away from the heart of Piazza Tasso (the main piazza of Sorrento). The apartment itself was well equipped with everything I needed. An added bonus was sweet Luisa who would come each day and tidy up my room! This was a surprise since many apartment rentals do not offer this service. Her kind character and beautiful smile were great ways to start off my day.
Antonio, the apartment owner, was also exceptional! He went out of his way to ensure I had detailed and safe travel suggestions when I decided to travel to Naples on my own, and for my birthday (I was traveling alone) he not only suggested a wonderful restaurant for me to enjoy but he personally spoke with the owner making m birthday meal an unforgettable night of food, flowers, and over the top royal treatment!
Staying at Villa Elisa is a wonderful opportunity for you to enjoy the Italian atmosphere in the heart of Sorrento but it's also a great opportunity to make new friends!

Just about to leave and we are sad to go. What a wonderful place this is. Lovely and clean and a great price. The courtyard is a great extension to your apartment. Everything is close by and there is lots to do. This is our 2nd visit and cant wait till we come back again. Stay here and you will be very happy. The families hospitality is amazing you are just like one of the family and they are ever so helpful.

Room Tip: All are great

We stayed at Villa Elisa for two nights at the beginning of May 2013. The hotel is directly in the centre of Sorrento, an easy walk from both the train station and the port. It has a lovely gated courtyard which provides a nice break from the bustle of Sorrento.
We stayed on the ground floor and did find it quite noisy as some other reviewers have said, mostly from loud scooters and the people directly above us. I would advise taking some earplugs, especially if you're visiting in the Summer months.
Antonio and his family were all lovely and helped us with the ferry times to the Amalfi Coast and Capri.
Our room was nice and clean with a modern bathroom.

We stayed at Villa Elisa in July of this year. It is indeed a wonderful location and Antonio is very friendly and courteous. On the first morning we had a real problem with our mobile phones in Melbourne and Antonio really helped us sort it out, we couldnt have phoned Australia without his help. That said, our room was on the main floor, and the only light and air comes through the double doors which open onto the courtyard, there are no windows, so when the doors are shut there is no air or light. There is an air conditioner however we like to sleep with natural air. Villa Elisa is located right on the busy square, so if you leave the doors open you will get a lot of traffic noise at night, also some noise from the restaurant next door. Payment is in cash and there are no receipts. We paid Antonios mother, Josephine who then later said to us we had only paid her 100 Euros less. It was an uncomfortable situation however we carefully described the notes we had given her and she accepted we had paid her the full amount. I would advise travellers to take a photo of the transactions on your phones or ipads to avoid any misunderstandings in the future, as otherwise you wont have any record of what you have paid. I would advise anyone staying at Villa Elisa to get a room on the first floor, away from the traffic and noise from the restaurant.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the first floor and avoid rooms with no windows.
