This hotel is in a great location and close to everything in sorrento. The staff were ok. We were supposed to have a french balcony and we got a roof with chairs. It turned out to be pretty nice. Good hotel if you don't spend too much time at the hotel.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel twice and find it ideally situated, just around the corner from Piazza Tasso, where there are shops, bars and restaurants to suit every-one. Our favourite place is a short distance away in San Antonio square

Room Tip: 2nd floor over-looking pool with balcony, catch the morning sun.

We had been staying at the Caesar Augustus when our tour ended and we had plans to spend an extra week on the Amalfi Coast and Paestum, returning to Sorrento the following Saturday before taking the airport bus back to Naples. The price at the Caesar Augustus was high (135 Euros), especially since that hotel was not in the best condition, so we checked TRIPADVISOR for other places that would cost us less and be close to the bus/train station. We found excellent reviews on the Hotel Eden and a price of 82 Euros. Since we also wanted to leave our luggage somewhere for the week and just take backpacks, we walked over to the Hotel Eden and could not believe the fabulous location, lovely pool and beautiful gardens. It was even set back from the road so there was not the constant noise of motorcycles that we had been enduring at the Hotel Caesar Augustus. Luigi, who was at the front desk, could not have been nicer or more accommodating in storing our luggage for the week and meeting the price we had found on TRIPADVISOR although he first quoted us a price of 102 Euros (not a bad price either for such an upscale, well-located hotel). When we returned the following week, Luigi was again at the front desk and gave us a room overlooking the sea and pool on the highest floor. This was one of the nicest of the 9 hotels we stayed at during our 3 weeks in Southern Italy with a new bathroom with all glass shower, large breakfast, helpful staff and excellent restaurant next to the pool.

Room Tip: If possible, try to get a room overlooking the sea.

This hotel has a great central location yet also has a lovely garden where you can chill away from the crowds after a busy days sightseeing. The room we had didn't have the best view but we didn't spend too much time in the room in daylight hours and there were plenty of other great views. We stayed b&b and the breakfast buffet was fine, although fresh rather than tinned fruit salad would have been a bonus. There is a pool, not perhaps as large as the pictures may suggest, but we didn't have much time spent by tge pool. The wifi isn't free but the restaurant in the gardens has free wifi for customers and there are plenty of other wifi enabled restaurants nearby to get ur internet fix. Again great location as a base for sorrento and near to the station for sightseeing.

This hotel was the ideal spot for exploring Sorrento. The "secret passage way" took you from the hotel into the main street in Sorrento. The hotel was mainly run by family and they went out of their way to make our holiday very successful., even down to the organising of our trips to Vesuvius etc. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. Room was very clean and spacious. Nice maintained gardens. Minutes from the bus station and railway station. Always had a lovely welcome from Grandad when we came back at night.

Room Tip: We were on the 3rd floor which was ok, overlooking the garden, but the 5th floor would give you a be...

Staff are all very friendly and want to do everything they can to make your holiday perfect. The rooms are modern and very clean but quite basic (but very good for a 3*). My sister and I had rooms at the back and I think I would pay the extra to have a balcony room overlooking the gardens. Breakfast was simple but adequate.
The Eden is well set back from the road so is very quiet and it felt like an oasis in the centre of Sorrento. There is a side exit that leads you through a passage way onto the main street just outside the main square.
A great advantage as well is having the bus and rail station so close by. It is very simple to get the train to Pompeii. Also the tour buses all go from a station just down the road about 4 minutes walk away. In fact the location could not have been better.
The garden is a lovely place to sit after a tiring day sightseeing.
I would certainly go back to this delightful, friendly hotel and it is excellent value for money.

The Eden hotel enjoys a central location in Sorrento and benefits from being close to the Vesuvius circular rail link to Pompeii and Naples (connect to Rome). It's a clean basic hotel with pleasant staff. I did not eat there so cannot comment on the food, apart from breakfast, which was modest. They had 2 types of fruit juice, orange and pineapple but both looked identical in the glasses and both were undrinkable. The coffee and croissants were okay.
For the price and location it offers good value.
