We stopped by on a very slow day. The waiter advised us to sit under the roof on the terrace because he said it would rain. Within minutes it was raining and we were very glad for the advice. The food was very good, especially the pizza. This was the first place we tried in Sorrento and it was a good choice.

Order the pesto ravioli and be prepared to be amazed!

But really, this was a recommendation in the "eating well on a budget" section in our guidebook and it did not disappoint. Atmosphere was really cute, staff was friendly, and they had live music the night we were there as well. Highly recommended!

Did not know about that restaurant before, just walked by.

First - the location. Right in the center of Sorrento, but no noise. The view from the second floor terrace is excellent, and it is the lemon trees adds to the picture.

We started with marinated small fish appetizer, and it was very close to the what my mother used to prepare (means very good). Seriously, we tried such food in other Amalfi Coast restaurants, but that was the best.
Then, we ordered a fillet of sea bass. The owner told us that it is not a best choice and suggested the same sea bass with cherry tomatoes and special source.
- "You will get the whole fish instead of a half"
-"Yes, but will will have to clean it of fish bones, etc."
- "No, we will do that for you".

And yes, they did. She brought 2 whole baked fishes, and it was completely prepared next to our table. The taste was second to none, and the price was just a bit more than for fillet.

The bottom line: taste is good, prices are reasonable and location is unbeatable.
Highly recommend

I don't think I have written a negative review but this restaurant is so bad I have to write something. We have recently returned from one week in Sorrento. Our hotel was on a half board basis and thought it would be nice to eat out one evening. We picked Ristorante S Antonino as looking up the stairs from the street it looked lovely.

It started badly when we were greeted by the most miserable waitress and waiter, it was really like they didn't want you there. I don't know if it was because it was coming to the end of the season or what but it was like you weren't supposed to turn up to eat. The food we ordered was tasteless, bland and not worth the money. There was grit in the spaghetti with mussels, pasta was cold, tiramisu & profiteroles worst puddings we've ever had. The only decent thing was the plain margherita pizza my son had. The owner Luigi came to speak to us and he was entertaining its a terrible shame his waiting staff or chef's aren't as nice. Best bit - leaving!

We had a lovely meal here - pizza and pasta were first rate, good service and a lovely setting. Our meal came very quickly as the pizza is cooked as per tradition in 90 seconds in the pizza oven. We had a good recommendation from the waiter as to which local red wine to order, and free lemoncellos at the end of the meal, which was homemade by the restaurant owner and very delicious. We are already planning a return visit before we leave Sorrento.
