“Boutique style hotel”
Reviewed 8 May 2013

A group of ten of us stayed here for a long weekend in May. The hotel has a beautifully designed lobby and staircase although the glass staircase took some getting used to, I opted for the lift!!
Our room was on the top floor in the roof space, there was limited head height but it wasn't too much of an issue. the sky light was a velux style and had an external blind which we closed in the evening. There was fridge in the room which was useful for keeping drinks cool, there was air conditioning too. The Hotel has a hidden roof terrace which is worth looking out for with views over the town.
Breakfast was great value for money with meats, cheeses, rolls, cereals, cakes, muffins and pastries all on a help your self basis, hot and cold drinks were plentiful.
All in all a well placed hotel for exploring the local area.

The hotel itself was clean and nice, the staff were very helpful, good location in the middle of Sorrento and it was quiet. However, the top floor room that we were in had a sloping ceiling that was very low and I kept banging my head, especially in the bathroom. I am only 5'5 and my boyfriend isn't much taller so for anyone taller than us they would have been bending down a lot of the time. The bathroom had a tub with a shower head, but there was no way of standing up in the bath so the shower head is attached next to the tap and there was no shower curtain, so we had to have baths instead of showers, as sitting down and showering is quite impractical. The other thing was that there was a skylight above the bed with no blind, which meant that I woke up when the sun rose at about 6.30 and it was difficult to sleep after that as the light comes in. Apart from the room, the breakfast was good and the atmosphere good.

Room Tip: Ask not to be located on the top floor, especially if you are tall or staying for more than a night

Four friends and I traveled to Sorrento for two days and booked this hotel very last minute. We ended up loving this hotel as it is only one block from the city center, and only about a 5 minute walk from the train station, which we took to the airport. Although it is a small hotel, the size of our room was perfect, and the hotel itself was clean. The people that worked here were so friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was alright, not a great selection, mostly consisting of muffins, bread, and croissants. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Stayed for 7 nights in April 2013. Located in a quiet backstreet in the centre of the old town, a few minutes walk from the port, the station and the sights of Sorrento. We had a family room, which consists of a large room with a double bed, table and chairs and fridge, with a smaller twin room carved out of it. It was ideal for a family of 4. It was simply furnished and clean. The price included a breakfast buffet. There was a reasonable breakfast selection although a bit on the sweet side - could do with more fresh fruit and better cereal, but this is a minor complaint. All in all, it was very good value, and the staff were very helpful.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and used it as a jumping off point for Capri, Positano, and Amalfi. The small, quiet hotel is very beautiful, with clean modern rooms combined with antique furniture in the common areas. It is located on a quiet lane just off the main street. The staff were wonderful to us, helping us plan our hikes on the coast. Breakfast is a delicious array of homemade pastries. We had great luck finding this place!

stayed 5 nights, april/2013.

well located, ten minutes walk from the train station, in the historic part of town but on a quiet 'street'. older building, renovated modern interior (ikea-like furniture, but well chosen), glass staircase, elevator. good variety at breakfast, though more heavier dessert stuff than i would prefer. friendly staff.

room was large, clean, white, more ikea furniture, table and chairs. separate bedroom for the kids, big big plus. good bathroom.

only negative (with many southern europe hotels, i think); ceramic tile on the floor. every move in the morning as breakfast was being prepared upstairs in the room above, we heard loud and clear. i was sure there was a fridge in our room, as i could hear it cycling on every now and again; it was upstairs in the breakfast area, but sounded soooo close. i am sure the room below us heard every footstep we took. in fact, soundproofing in general could have been a bit more generous. though if it was, i would have been surprised.

anyways, a very, very minor and common issue; it did nothing to dent the great time we had at the hotel. no problem giving it a full excellent rating, and recommending it whole-heartedly to anyone looking for a place in sorrento.

The small hotel was in a great location, was very clean and had great service. I found it reasonably priced for the area. The front desk helpers, Martina (pm) and Amalia (am) were very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was a typical Italian breakfast with rolls and juice...worked perfect for us. I would definitely stay here again (and hope that I get a chance to go back!)
