What a fantastic place this is... 5 apartments in beautiful grounds in the middle of Sorrento, well about 15 min walk to the hustle and bustle, but thats a good thing, gives you a chance to burn off some of the pizza and pasta! The apartments are beautiful inside, all with large bedrooms and kitchens, they felt like a real italian home. The pool area is lovely, gets the very last bit of the sun, and is surrounded by lush lemon trees and hammocks... the owner and his wife and brother are great, they done a pizza evening for us, a big pasta lunch and and a delicious bbq.. they didnt mind other people from the wedding party coming over to swim in the pool or for dinner, which was perfect for us as it gave us a central point for everyone to meet up. Everyone loved these apartments and we will definitely make a return trip.. big thankyou to Gino and co xxx

Room Tip: If you are noisy travellers, ie want to play music late at night, request NOT to go in the apartment...

Myself and husband stayed here in September. The apartment is about 10-15 mins walk from central Sorrento, which makes it is very central and convenient.
The whole complex is lovely, it has orange and lemon trees, hammocks, a nice swimming pool (which I went in every day) loungers around the pool.
The apartment was clean and spacious good size kitchen with all facilities. Nice sofas, TV only news channel (we also took a DVD player and DVD's). A DVD player would be an advantage attached to the TV. Air conditioning in the bedrooms which was very effective.
Gino and Antonino were very welcoming and Gino cooked one night for all who wanted to eat together it was very sociable.
Our actual holiday was very busy went to Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, Herculaneum & Capri all beautiful. One thing I would say is that transport is very crowded and may recommend going on a tour if you cannot cope with large crowds and a lot of pushing. But of course it is much more expensive than going by yourself.
We had a really nice apartment which was 3 bedrooms entry via a spiral staircase. This was equivalent to 3 flights of stairs and although no problem to walk up it was a bit difficult to get a large case up there, so you do need to be able to do this.

group of 6 stayed here in June 2011, was exactly what we required, 3 double rooms, small living area and good size kitchen. check in was easy; staff/owners very friendly and welcoming. our apartment had a good size terrace, great for pre and post dinner drinks/chat but only had 3 sun beds. there is a clean decent sized pool (approx 10metres long )with lots of sun beds and natural shade around it. only down side was location, up a hill about a 10 minute walk down and 15 minute walk back from the town centre. it did not bother us and the area is full of hills so it was only small flaw. also no towel change or cleaning service for the week. otherwise very much as advertised and we would happily stay here again

From the moment we arrived the owner Antonino and his family made us very welcome and were very informative about the area, places to visit etc.

The appartments are all well equipped clean and comfortable and the gardens and pool area are amazing,

Antonino's brother Gino kept us entertained for a fortnight and we were treated as part of the family which made our stay one of the best holidays we have had.

During our stay we had a pizza night with our fellow guests also a pasta night with ingredients from the garden, the food was absolutely delicious,Gino is a super chef!

Antonino's wife Nut is from Thailand and cooked us a Thai meal one evening which was also delicious.

We will be going back one day as they are such a lovely family and it is a superb location.

Cia Gino, Toni & Nut , thank you for a great holiday , hope to see you again very soon.

Wow! What can I say...this place is an outstanding place to stay, absolutely perfect for a holiday getaway. We arrived late on a Saturday night and were welcomed in straight away by the owners who were fantastic througout the holiday (more on them later). The accomodation is excellent. Our villa had two double bedrooms, both with ensuite facilities that had recently been installed. The villa was very clean and spacious. The pool and sunbeds etc were excellent and exactly what you need. It is the owners who make this place so special. Gino, the owners brother who lives and works on site (who is an absolute legend and the nicest Italian we have ever met) was unvelievably helpful and friendly. He did a pizza night on two occasions where he cooked fresh pizzas using ingredients from their own garden. Two words...'absolutely delicious!'. On our last day he even drove down to the butchers especially for us to cook us a bbq which again was perfectly cooked and delicious (biggest steak I have ever had). Also the owners wife (who is from Thailand) cooked us Thai food one evening which again was fantastic. I can honestly say that the owners of this place are the best hosts I have ever seen anywhere in the world! We will definately be returning to this place with absolutely no hesitation. 10 out of 10 all round!

One of the most relaxing places I've ever stayed. I'm going to have to just repeat and endorse the rest of the reviews. There were 14 of us taking up 3 of the 5 cottages/apartments, and the setup was perfect for a large group. The villa is clean, private, well maintained and the owners are extremely helpful. The pool is big enough for the number of apartments, and was absolutely necessary in the July heat. The fact that it's in among a lemon grove makes it feel very personal. The views out over the hills are magnificent, especially at night.

It's in a quiet, out of the way street, but still only about 6 or 7 minutes walk from Piazza Tasso. There's a mini market about 3 minutes walk away.

The apartments/cottages have everything you need if you want to eat in and are big enough so that you can stay in for a couple of hours without feeling cramped.

One of the apartments is up a narrow-ish staircase, which is a bit awkward if you have very small children, so just pick one of the others. On the other hand, if you don't have very small children, the apartments terrace is an amazing place to sit at night with a drink.

If you are looking for somewhere for a large group of people to stay, I very much doubt you could get better value in Sorrento than Residence Santa Lucia.

Approaching the residence you would be forgiven for being a little worried about the location but on arrival those reservations will vanish. The fact that the residence is a short walk (5 - 10 mins from Piazza Tasso) turns out to be a godsend and not a problem. The tranquility of the location is well recieved compared to the hussle and bustle of the Piazza Tasso area (we stayed in Palazzo Di Guardati on our wedding night and although a lovely hotel it was quite noisy early in the morning due to the sheer amount of tourists in Piazza Tasso).
The villas themselves are set within a lemon grove which is a lovely setting. There is a pool with ample sun loungers, a gorgeous solid wooden table with bench seating either side that would have definitely been our wedding reception venue choice had we not already organised it prior to the holiday. There are hammocks, swings, rooftop solarium and another outside eating area also.
Inside the villas (we had Capri and Amalfi) you get everything that you need. They are clean and well set out with TV, decent showers, kitchenette areas etc. Nothing more to say really.
What makes the stay such a pleasure (besides what is mentioned above) is the staff and especially Gino. He went out of his way to help make our stay a memorable one and he needn't have done as within 15mins of arriving, myself and my newly appointed wife had already decided that we were going to return next year.
We loved it and as it says in the title.............
