It was a beautiful guest house the only thing I didn't know was that in Italy 1st floor is 2 nd and this guest house didn't have an elevator until you got to the 1st /2 floor. I was lucky enough to have some other guest bring my suite case up. Parking was another problem their wasn't any by the guest house (did not know this) we had to pay to park 3 blocks away. You really don't want to drive in Italy!!! Food was very good, shopping and sight seeing were great. I liked the fact that you could walk all over except down the coast that we went by bus to other town. Beautiful sights.

Room Tip: We had the white room on the first floor by the desk and where you had breakfast. We had a view of...

Having stayed in what must be the smallest room in the abagnalle I must say it was fine yes the bed was against the wall and there was limited cupboard and wardrobe space but the room was spotless and had a minimalistic chicness we only stayed two nights , the abagnalle has a really happy atmosphere and it makes you want to be part of it we loved our stay and would not mind staying in the small room again , we were on the same floor as breakfast room and reception we did not notice any noise , it was in a perfect position minuets from the station and the main square you do not need a taxi from the station or the ferry port it's quicker to walk even with luggage hopefully on wheels .. We can't wait to return xx

...once you enter Palazzo Abagnale! I stayed 5 nights in August and one thing that left the most impact on my memory was unexpectedly modern style in the middle of the historic city center and main street... Pure simplicity in design, combined with creativity in decoration, followed by friendly and helpful staff will make Pallazo Abagnale a perfect place to rest and a distinct place to stay for anyone looking for lovely accommadation in Sorrento... I fell in love with it and I am planning to go back!

Everything positive that we read about this hotel is true. However, we were two couples who booked standard double rooms back in January for 3 nights in September. We intended to be out most of the time, so didn't feel we needed suites or de luxe.We were allocated both rooms on the same floor as the reception and breakfast room. Room 103 is in our opinion, a single sized room with a double bed pushed up against wall with one person unable to get out of their side. There was one bedside table and a single, tiny cupboard for hanging clothes. Also of course, great difficulty for 2 people to move around. Room 102 was good.........until we realised that we could hear every conversation from the reception area. This meant we were kept awake by people talking as they used the Internet connection late at night. The reception day staff arrived at 6.00 am and then breakfast preparations started. Very noisy and no chance of further sleep as guests then arrived for breakfast. We did try returning one day for a siesta. Not to be.....people checking in. We naturally requested a change of room. Our friends in the small room had to endure two nights before they were given another room. The hotel was full so there wasn't a solution for us. We were told cheap rooms!!! Sometimes had problems..........shame that's not written into the room description. There wasn't an alternative for us ( other than leaving of course). Upon leaving, we advised the staff that we would be posting our experience and confirmed that there are in fact 4 double rooms in this hotel. I would just like to make people aware that when they make a booking, they stand a chance of getting one of the rooms we had. It seems wrong that for the same price, guests can have such different experiences. Our friends were greatly inconvenienced for two nights. We had our stay in Sorrento ruined by sleep deprivation. Just beware. The right room and it's a great hotel. Had we had any idea ( and we had read lots of reviews beforehand, but obviously NOT from people staying in either of these rooms) we would have booked another hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid room 102 and 103 but can't tell you how!

Excellent location near all restaurants, bars, shops, attractions etc. - property is very recently refurbished so in excellent, clean condition throughout - rooms are very well equipped, comfortable and stylish - air conditioned and have a safe too - superb staff and Elio (the manager) couldn't be more accommodating - really helpful .. Hotel is spotlessly clean.
We stayed in a larger 2nd floor room with our 2 children (9 & 11 yrs) and there was ample space. The morning breakfasts were plentiful & varied - great quality and something hot or cold for everyone.
We travelled from Naples Airport to Sorrento by coach and would recommend the Carreri Viaggi coach transfer option as it departs just in front of the arrivals terminal and drops you about 100 meters from Abagnale - for 10 euros ea. - so easy
Great town, super property and enchanting country

Room Tip: Rooms to the front have some street noise but nothing too bad, styles of room vary on each floor...

We stayed for 6 nights in August at Palazzo Abagnale and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were modern, spacious and clean. The Wifi and aircon worked perfectly and the flatscreen-TV with SKY box offered a lot of channels. The breakfast with homemade cakes was very good. It was a perfect base for our trips to Amalfi, Capri, Beaches etc. It is close to all transport (train, bus, boat) and to the main square of Sorrento.

We stayed for a week in June at Palazzo Abagnale and we were very happy with our stay there.
Our room was modern, spacious and very clean, the bathroom was spotless and towels changed daily.
The staff were helful and friendly, especially Elio!. The hotel was in the main street close to the square,
where there were plenty of shops, and restaurants. The train and bus station was only minutes away.
We hope to go back again to beautiful Sorrento and would love to stay here again.
