“Perfect!”
Reviewed 1 May 2013 via mobile

We have just returned from a long weekend in Sorrento. It was a first visit for me to Italy and I was not disappointed. The apartment we had was spotless, clean and comfy, initial fears about noise from the bar and street below were unfounded and we had a really good experience. The staff were friendly and looked after us and I would definitely return again.

My wife and I have just completed a holiday in Italy which included a week-long stay at Sorrento. While there we stayed at Sorrento Apartments, Via P.R. Giuliani, 43, in the heart of the historic old town. We could not have been more pleased with our accommodation and its location. Our unit was spotlessly clean with a well equipped kitchen with a bench and two stools to eat or prepare meals. The daily service was excellent. Entrance to the units was controlled via an electronic security gate, making us feel secure to leave our belongings in the unit.

The manager, Mirko La Scala, spoke English very well and was a great help in answering our questions and making suggestions about what to see and do in the area. He also used the front desk computer to help us solve some issues with our camera and computer.

Everything seemed to be within walking distance of Sorrento Apartments – multiple little shops, a supermarket, a large variety of restaurants, the train station and bus depot, and the harbor area with the beach area and ferry terminals. We would happily stay here again if we were to return for a repeat visit to Sorrento!

The room was perfect and attractive. It had everything we needed and more. It also comes with a hair-dryer which I didn't know so you don't need to take one. There is a kitchenette with fridge and a lovely shower. The staff are friendly and helpful and also smiley which helps!! The location is completely central for everything with easy access to the trainline. The room was cleaned everyday. We will definitely return!

Room Tip: Economy rooms are small but big enough for a couple. If you require bigger select one up from this.

my husband and i stayed here last week. the apartments are on a lovely little narrow street, very quaint, not far from the train station if you are arriving by train. spotlessly clean, towels changed every day, very friendly and helpful staff especially the nephew of the older guy. lovely cocktail bar with a large range of cocktails at 5 euros each, which are delicious. the only downside was the size of the apartment, we had no 3 and you couldn't swing a cat round. there was a kitchen which we just used for breakfast and making a sandwich a couple of days, but there is no space even to butter bread and you have to sit on the bed to eat your breakfast which isn't ideal. there were bigger apartments no 1 was big. had a good time though.

Wonderful stylish apartments, good location - near the railway station, and a marina, which I used to travel to Capri, perfect cleanliness, comfort and convenience! The kitchen has everything you need - fridge, cooker, kettle, coffee maker, dishes. Welcoming and friendly hosts. I still have the best impression of Sorrento Apartments!!!

My wife and I stayed at this property for 1 week, starting Oct 13/2012, and we were fortunate to have absolutely wonderful weather during our stay. The CENTRAL location in charming Sorrento allows one to WALK to virtually everything, including ferries to Capri, and the Amalfi Coast bus. (We parked our car securely (at a hotel site different and cheaper than the one Sorrento Apartments recommended) a few blocks away, and didn't use it at all). Shops, craftspeople, restaurants and local attractions at your doorstep and beyond. Family-owned and operated, the service was friendly and very accommodating (Marco spoke English if and when required, and was full of helpful hints), and they also allowed us free use of the guest computer, negating the need to look for wi-fi or internet cafes. The property had its own bar and cafe, with fresh, made-to-order dishes aned beverages reasonably priced. Our unit was a 1bed-1bath (advertised as sleeping 4, however the second 'bed' was a fold-out divan, and we wouldn't recommend it for more than perhaps one child, given the layout). The kitchen was basic, and we used it for cooking most of our meals, but some of the utensils obviously needed replacing. The bedroom was spacious with good closet space, the bed very comfortable. The bath was modern and adequate, There was frequent and very polite and pleasant maid service. Security in terms of electronic entry/exit was very good. Now the 'negatives': Our unit was at the rear of the building. backing on to a service lane/street. Our sleep was compromised by frequent VERY early morning traffic and service noise, and by LATE evening loud music from the restaurant directly across the lane on certain nights. There was a school above the restaurant, generating considerable gymnasium/playground noise. (Try for a unit at the front of the building). Our unit had some obvious issues of deferred maintenance, indicative of some water/condensation issues in the bathroom and kitchen.
We would return to this location without hesitation, however would request a front unit.

Room Tip: Ask for a unit at the front of the building

My husband and I stayed here for the Capodanno (New Years Eve) on the Bay of Naples- which incidentally is a spectacular sight to see. Our room was very small but genuinely cozy and very clean. We had a standard room with a double bed.

The staff is a family and they are extremely helpful and friendly. They have two dogs Billy and Lila who are just as sweet as can be. You truly feel like a welcome guest visiting a family overseas, not like you are just another hotel occupant. The room had a little kitchen and bathroom and even a service to wash your clothes for 5 euros/bag. Not bad! The only issue is that we had our own personal water heater... which was TINY! So we had to shower in shifts at least 20 mins apart or run out of hot water... but it was a minor inconvenience.

The hotel is very close to everything and was the perfect home base in Sorrento. I highly recommend it... can't beat the price for the service and location.
