I returned less than a week ago from this hotel and after touring Venice & Rome first I have to say this hotel was my favourite of the trip.

The highlight was definitely the view over the bay of Naples from the breakfast/restaurant terrace. Especially lovely for watching the sunset in the evening. Of course if you pay extra for a sea view you can enjoy this luxury from your own balcony.

The service was great and the room was lovely, extremely large and airy and most importantly clean. We had a garden view over looking the front but despite looking out above reception it was lovely and quiet.

We had no problem getting a sun lounger by the pool or on the sun area by the sea.

Many people have posted about the distance from the town so I was surprised how quick it took us to walk. We didn't use the shuttle bus at all. It was a pleasant 10-15 min walk although there is a lack of pavements along some parts. From the town you can easily access the train or bus to many areas including Pompeii, mount Vesuvius and almafi coast. Plus the harbour has regular boats to Capri and Naples.

The only negative is that purchasing drinks at the hotel is expensive. Italy on the whole is expensive but it cost 6 euro for a 330 ml can or bottle of peroni at the hotel. We often purchased alcohol at the supermarket.

The staff were friendly and helpful at this hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Stayed here based on recommendation of family member. When we first checked in I thought we had made a mistake. Was I wrong! Hotel grounds are beautiful! Many unique flowers and plants. Pool is very nice as is the area on the beach. Breakfast was excellent! Staff was friendly and helpful.

Not the best location if you don't like to walk 15 minutes to center of town, that being said hotel has free shuttle to and from town.

We were so surprised with how nice it was in Sorrento. Great and inexpensive restaurants. On our previous visit to the Amalfi Coast we stayed in Positano. I would highly recommend coming here instead as there is so much more to do. To visit Positano you can either take the ferry or bus which while crowded is inexpensive. Pompei is easily accessible by train. We loved the town square and side streets with great shopping.

I have been all over Italy and must say this is my favorite city to visit.

Room Tip: Oceanfront room

I have just returned from a relaxing few days at this hotel. I am completely baffled as to why it is ranked so low on this website. The hotel itself is a little way from the centre of Sorrento, but it is very quiet. As soon as you set foot into the wonderful gardens at the front of the hotel, you feel calm and relaxed. The views from the hotel terrace are stunning. The decor fantastic. Rooms are huge, and very clean. I have never been anywhere where they change your sheets every day. Service is excellent, even providing a room free of charge so you could freshen up before you go home. A big plus, no saving of sun beds on the beach area, you could always find somewhere to sit. If you want relaxation, with a spot of sightseeing, you could do no better than staying at this hotel, I will again sometime in the future.

Do not listen to the bad reviews!! This hotel is amazing!! The grounds and hotel are beautiful. We spent 7 nights and enjoyed the hotel and the area. The hotel is about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the city center but we enjoyed the walk after a big meal! The room was the largest room we have ever had in Europe. The view from the breakfast area is amazing!! The hotel has a beautiful private beach that is worth just seeing even if you aren't looking to lay out. I would stay at this hotel again......100%. The only negative was when we took the shuttle bus to the bus station on our day home and got left off about 10 blcoks from the station. They did not tell us this when we took the shuttle. We had to walk with all of our luggage.

Room Tip: We had a Junior Suite and was very large!!

Lovely hotel with beautiful gardens and surroundings. Our room was clean and spacious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great view from our balcony, overlooking the breathtaking coastline. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of choice. We would definitely stay again!
