We've been to Sorrento three times before in small hotel rooms. This had the same superb views but with a suite of large authentic rooms. Superb when the sun was out, and even when it rained, the rainbow over Vesuvius was striking. Welcome pack on day one was great. The whole family loved it here, and no complaints at all. Just a few pointers for future visitors, the road up from St Agnello is very steep, and there is barely any street parking by the suites (and then only if you have a very skinny car!!). However, definitely worth hiring a car to get around the local coves and bays independently. Walking to S Agnello is fine, but walking back up the hill would be testing for many people. TV only shows Italian progs so worth taking your own DVDs and even an iPad to view English progs via the free broadband. Water in bathroom is seldom hot, but is bearable for showers. If you can't afford restaurant meals 3 times a day, grab some snacks from the supermaket in St Agnello, or get smaller snacks from Sorrento e.g. Doner Kebabs, pasties, rotisserie chicken etc. Private balcony is brilliant and very private, and on good days, you can use the bbq provided. Lots of nice touches inside. We would love to return to M Suites next time.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms are best.

We spent 4 nights at M Suites in the Agave apartment at the start of October. Everything that others have commented on is exactly right - the amazing view, lovely garden terrace, and very well equipped and spacious apartment with interesting and quirky furnishings and a high level of cleanliness and good order. The welcome pack was much appreciated and although the owners could not be there initially to greet us they left us a note explaining how to gain access and made sure to catch up with us later that evening. The hill to the apartment is steep but manageable, but for those who couldn't do it comfortably there are taxis available from the station at St Agnello. On a couple of evenings when we fancied eating out but not going far, we walked a few minutes further uphill or downhill to nearby hotels who each provided an excellent dinner at a reasonable price. For anyone wanting a quiet retreat apartment Agave is perfect. For those wanting to do lots of sightseeing it also provides a convenient base for visiting Pompeii, Herculaneum and, of course, Sorrento itself.

We spent 3 nights at M Suites. The apartments are great and the views left me speechless! The owners had some breakfast items waiting for us, such as milk, juice, bread, jelly, etc. that was great! I would definitely stay there again, and I will tell my friends about it!

Room Tip: All rooms have great views.

Just back from a 5 night stay and enjoyed it immensely. I won't go on about the views because so many have already done so. They are spectacular though.
Because we were late booking we could only do 5 nights by moving apartment mid-week. This wasn't a problem, we just went to Pompeii to get out of the way on the changeover day and our things were moved for us. What it did do was give us a flavour of two of the apartments not just one. So we started in l'Ulivo and finished downstairs in Agave. I have to say they were both absolutely lovely and I'd return to either like a flash. If I had to pick I guess I'd go for Agave for its patio area and generally roomier feel. It would certainly be the one to go for if you wanted to eat round a table, inside or out. Still, as I say, both lovely.
A lot has been said about the walk to and from Sorrento centre. Well we're the wrong end of our fifties and we didn't use a taxi once (except with luggage). Unless you have mobility difficulties it shouldn't be a problem. If you have legs, use them. Yes, the walk up the hill is a bit taxing but we did it every day, and often twice a day, without difficulty. Do get one of the guys to tell you where the shortcut path is if you're heading into Sorrento, although it's steep and could be slippery when wet. I wouldn't use it in the dark or the rain.
Oh and not a lot (anything?) is made on their website about the fact that they also run a nearby hotel which has a pool and which you can use for free. Take swimming gear if that appeals (pool's outdoors though of course).
All in all, it's super, and with it's big outdoor areas and bbq's etc it would be a brilliant place to go with friends or family and take over the whole house.
Oh, one last thing. the beds are great (as in firm)!

We spent 13 nights in L'Ulivo suite. Amazing views, great decks, lovely apartment. The hill climb allowed us endless pasta & pastry (have someone tell you where the path is). We cooked a fair bit at the suite and bbq'd. (could have used a cutting board, cheese grater and a good knife). Terrific grocery store in San'Agnello to the right of the train station; wonderful restaurant called the 'Moonlight'; 20 minute walk to Sorrento; easy access to Pompei on the Circumvenzia.
**if you stay for more than a few days; you have to buy your own toilet paper; paper towels and you do not get a towel/sheet change (I think for a long stay you should at the very least be offered clean sheets and towels after one week - not have to pay $40 euro for a suite cleaning). Access to a very simple washer & dryer (a load does take 3 hours). We left like we had the place to oursleves for most of the time; the sutes were full but you really didn't know it. Bed was uber firm; AC controls in very room; very nice bath tub; good wifi; welcome pack (milk, oj, tea, coffee, croissants) and lots of good info on the area and available tour options etc.

Room Tip: L'Ulivo gives you a full water view to see cruise ships and comings and goings; large deck; tabl...

Clean, comfortable, beautiful view, laundry facilities available, and the owners had all the details covered and were there for any other thing we needed. And this was a part of our trip in which we had little researched. They were a tremendous help. Highly recommend a stay here.

M Suites is a hidden gem to say the least! My fiance and I spent 2 weeks in Italy and France and stayed in 6 different hotels/apartments. This was by far our favourite. Pietro and Francesco were extremely helpful with regards to recommending restaurants and tourist spots. They went out of their way to help us in any way they could! We stayed in the L'Ulivo apartment and we couldn't be happier. The terrace was huge and the view was incredible. Extremely clean apartment. Can't wait to return :)
