“Glad I read trip advisor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

Looking for somewhere different to go here after 3 years of pizza and pasta...so glad I looked on TA...we picked the wrong night (Italy playing in World Cup and thunder storms) so was only us 2 for first hour or so and awnings had to come down. However from the time we were picked up at our hotel (courtesy car, would normally cost €25) we were made to feel special. The setting is gorgeous, just ignore the occasional scooter in the background and concentrate on the lapping waves. The young waiter was very knowledgable of wines and suggested a really nice one to compliment our food. Our food was delicious and our main course delivered to the table by the chef himself and carved in front of us. Desserts are well worth leaving space for...our bill of €120 was worth every penny for 3 courses, wine and the perfect evening. Lucky the local black Labrador wading in the sea in front of us was a great distraction too. Our courtesy car was waiting for us after our complimentary limoncello. Rosella and her team are waiting for your visit.

“Hidden gem - worth seeking out!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2014

Excellent family run restaurant, serving the best food I had in Sorrento with genuine, caring service. This is fine dining without the stiffness, and the tasting menu is excellent value at Euro 45 (or thereabouts). Special mention to the tuna entree and the scampi ravioli. Slightly difficult to find on Marina Piccolo, but persevere!

“Lovely setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014

We booked a table here whilst staying in Sorrento. After walking down to the harbour we came across this restuatrant and made a booking. They offered to collect us from our hotel that evening and thankfully returned us back to the hotel after we had eaten.

The decking area is on the beach and it feels that your sat on the water.

The food was very good and the service was excellent. It is a family run business with the mother and Son front of house and father the chef.

The setting is lovely watching the boats come and go whist enjoying lovely food.

“The BEST!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014

Outstanding experience from the first moment of making a reservation to the sublime dessert. Service was attentive and thoughtful thanks to Mario and Rosella. The food so good I am going back today to try more of the interesting and unusual menu. Starting with the lovely breadsticks and complimentary zucchini flower we were impressed. Loved the seared tuna appetiser, the soup was brilliant, we both had the lamb and have never had a better prepared or cooked lamb rack, beyond words! Then the creme brûlée was heavenly. Didn't want to leave and I will be back every time I visit. Thank you Ghibali.

“Never again.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

After reading reviews on TA for this restaurant , the first day I was in Sorrento I booked a table for the following night at 8 pm. The very friendly young man took the booking and asked if we needed picked up from our hotel,(nice touch) we said no as it is a nice walk down to harbour but a lift back up would be good , no problem he said you are already our friend.
We arrived on time and were shown to our table and asked if we would like a drink,we chose a bottle of rose wine to be told it was not available then told there was no rose wine and then a carafe of very dry rose wine arrived at our table.
The 3 young waiters were under the control of an older lady and appeared nervous and out of sorts. When an amuse buch arrived at table they cold not tell us what it was but a kind customer told us (thanks to the customer)
My first course was mussels on tagliatelle this was quite nice, all 8 mussels and I would normally debaird mussels before I served them. my partner had the seared tuna , this had been frightened by heat and was served raw so was left on plate (no one asked how food was ) so hungry we waited for next course.
My order for seabass arrived and 1 fillet on top of willlted spinnich served with 10 chickpeas was quite tasty but hardly filling and my partners lamb cutlets were served with the crust sealed and so raw the meat was cold and even the potatoes were hard.
Again no one asked how food was untill they came to take plates away and when told the meal was not edible the waiter shrugged his shoulders and that was that.
The older woman asked if we had ,had our lemonchello and we said no, that was the end of that (it did not appear)
They were quick with the bill of 94 eu and of course there was no lift up the hill.
Maybe Sunday is not the best day for this restaurant but thankfully all our other eating expieriences in Sorennto were great.
1 to avoid.

Dear "Rossleche",

I think that you reviewed the wrong restaraunt because we have no old ladies working and only one young waiter with due older ones.

Best regards
