We first stayed at the Hilton in 2005. Before we set off on this trip, we were slightly concerned by some of the reviews on Trip Advisor, and also the fact that the hotel had changed from waiter service to buffet service in the main retaurant. So we were delighted to find that the standard and quality of the food was as good as ever. There was plenty of choice every evening and the food was always fresh and tasty. We liked the fact that each evening included a 'featured dish' which was served by a chef. (The pesto and walnut pasta was particularly good). I actually found the buffet service suited me better as I was able to take the smaller portions I prefer rather than be overfaced by large platefuls. Every morning there were a couple of chefs preparing eggs - omelettes, scrambled, fried - and pancakes or waffles. After the first morning I was greeted with a huge smile and did not have to repeat my order as the female chef remembered it every time. A huge thank you to her and her colleague!
On checking in we were upgraded to a garden room, which was very spacious and absolutely immaculate. We had requested a quiet room - which it was - until various inconsiderate guests returned very noisily to their rooms in the early hours - which the hotel can hardly be blamed for
The hotel had not altered much in the last six years, and the service was as attentive as ever. I would have liked to see more people adhered to the preferred dress code of smart casual for dinner, but again the hotel cannot be held responsible for that!
All in all - a great experience!

Room Tip: Garden rooms tend to be quieter

yes, this year we there for the 9th time !!
why ? first we are "italian lovers" and sorrento is a lovely place, also for easily trips to naples, capri, ischia....
hotel is super situated, +/- 15' from the center of sorrento but with an amazing vue on the golfe of naples. fantastic reception, restaurants and nice spaces rooms.
hint : take the "executive room" , it's a bit more expensive but i'ts almost a total "all in".
separate breakfeast, swimming pool and snacks and drinks the whole day long for free !!

We just returned from a 5 night stay at the Hilton Sorrento Palace. The hotel is located at the foot of the mountain, above the downtown, which means only a 10 minute walk down to Tasso Square. The views from the dining rooms, terraces, and hotel pool, are spectacular. You'd have to book a room with an ocean view to get a terrace with the same view. We actually had a "mountain view", which meant we were faced the cliff behind the hotel. But since we spent very little time in the room, we were still very satisfied.

The hotel is expansive, clean, and modern. Our room was a quadruple, since we traveled with our 13 year old. All the rooms of this size only have a "mountain view". It is actually two rooms separated by sliding doors, with one and a half baths. The rooms were large, comfortable, and clean. Wifi is free to Hilton Honors members, but there's a fee if you're not.

Since the hotel is located above town, we were able to take walks through local neighborhoods (with no tourists) and get a real feel of Sorrento. There were also amazing walking trails up the cliff behind the hotel.

Given the opportunity, I would return there tomorrow!

Room Tip: Singles and doubles are available with a view of the Bay of Naples

From start to finish this was the perfect hotel. It is close to sites such as Pompeii and Herculaneum, with a bus stop just outside to reach the station and nearby towns such as Positano. It has a large outside pool with plenty of sunbeds for the long summer season and an indoor pool for winter visits. The location is above the town but only an easy 10 minute stroll into it which means you are out of the bustle but near enough to walk in. The views across the Bay of Naples to Vesuvius are spectacular from the restaurant and most of the rooms, which all have balconies. Food is the usual Hilton high standard as are all the facilities.

Room Tip: It is worth upgrading to an executive room as it gives access to an excellent lounge and will save money in the end

Only had the opportunity to stay for one night, but loved this Hotel. Staff were extremely polite, and helpful.
Room was spacious, clean, functional and bed was very comfy.
Spectacular view from rrom across the Bay of Naples from the 5th floor. It is worth the extra money for the sea view room.
Excellent buffet breakfast, more than just a continental with a chef on hand to make omelets, waffles etc...
Its a 10 minute leisurely walk into the heart of Sorrento. Taxi will cost you €10-€13 but its not worth it.
Overall a very satisfcatory stay.
