I really thought Hilton would treat its Honors members better, but obviously employees at this property have lost sight of what respecting its frequent customers means.
We used a considerable amount of our Honors points for this stay and was disrespected from the moment we arrived. At first we were given a horrible room. What I would usually consider as two star or worse level. No doors on the closets, worn furniture, etc. Our reservation specifically requested two beds and we were given only one queen. I had to argue with the manager to be moved to a decent room and he insinuated that I was lying about my reservation request for two beds. At first he said that he didn't have anything else available. The hotel was nearly empty because it is off season, so plenty of better
rooms were actually available for them to put us in. After threatening to call Hilton Honors Customer Service, magically we were moved to another room.
We had to beg for our Honors discount on breakfast which was a ridiculous €30 each. I think that was just another price gouge that this hotel seems to be good at. There was only one woman at the front desk that didn't treat us like crap.
We ended up getting a fine room on the third floor, but the effort and aggravation it took to get there was beyond belief. I have stayed at Hilton properties from the Waldorf to Hampton Inns and have never encountered such treatment my management.
In the end the pool and view were nice, but the service was awful.
We had the hotel arrange a private car transfer to Naples airport. They said they have used this car service for many years. It ended up being one of the most hair raising rides that I have ever been on in my life. The driver drove at least 30 kmh above the speed limit at times on mountain roads. We were quite carsick upon arrival at the airport. Don't use the hotel to arrange this transfer, find another car service.
