We are still here at the min just got married, cannot fault this hotel! The service has been incredable! Right from ordering taxis to contacting resturants, laundry to being served at the bar! Soso happy with all the staff here especially vincent on reception and both giovanni's in the bar and restaurant, gisseppi on the bar is hilarious! Would not change a thing, veiws are spectacular even though we are a 10 min drive up the mountain it is so worth the wait to see the veiws!! Free shuttle bus takes you in and out of sorrento at set times. Also like to reveiw silvia schiappa wedding organizer for flowers and confetti. She has been amazing had a brilliant ceromony and reception the wedding cake was beautiful and we just received the pictures today. Pleased is an understatement woukd 100% reccomend this hotel and wedding planner to anyone thinking of it!

I really like this hotel. The views are amazing, the food is great and the staff, including the waiter service are brilliant. Our room was comfortable and spacious with views across the bay. The pool area was big enough and we got a sunbed every day. My only criticisms are really quite minor - the free courtesy bus could be a bit more frequent especially as the walk back up the hill can be quite arduous especially in the heat. Also, there's no shop nearby, you have to go into town, and E10 per day to put your own stuff in the mini-bar fridge seems rough. Overall though this shouldn't detract from this hotel which is an excellent choice if you want a relaxed, quiet and laid back holiday.

Being set far above the maddening crowds of Sorrento, the hotel enjoys panoramic views of both the town and sea.
Our room itself was spacious and comfortable, although the bathroom was somewhat dated.
Views from the room's terrace were excellent, looking out towards the sea and Mt. Vercuvius beyond.
Staff were exceptional, being without fail friendly, helpful and efficient.
We did not take dinner at the hotel, instead preferring to visit nearby restaurants, but the choice at breakfast was very good.

Room Tip: Unless a sea or garden view is requested, the view could be that of the car park or, worse, a concre...

Spent a week here from 28th June. We have been to Sorrento 9 times before and particularly liked the view from Hotel Jaccarino in St Agata, so I was a bit sceptical that it could be bettered....but it certainly was from this hotel. I agree with previous comments about the excellent food and service, but one point has not been made so far - we were in a standard (rear facing, basement) room and I noticed halfway through our week that we were not getting quite the same service as guests staying in an upgraded sea view room. eg. we were given plastic glasses at the pool restaurant, other guests were given glass ones with ice and straws, they were also served their wine in an ice bucket - ours was just placed on the table. Not much to complain about, I know, but we paid the same price for the wine and water, so should have had the same service. The swimming pool area was quite crowded most days, but there is also a nice sunbathing area on the roof terrace.

Room Tip: Our rear facing room was next to the kitchen at the rear of the hotel and was extremely dark. If you...

We went on a four night break from Bristol Airport. It was our first time in Sorrento (although we have travelled to Italy many times over the past 30 years) and this was a 'taster'. We have had disappointments in the past and so we thought we would keep this visit short and plan to return perhaps next year for a longer holiday. And we will - we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We booked though Citalia and were given helpful and knowledgeable advice. We shall certainly use Citalia again.
Other guests at this hotel have been less than enthusiastic about the fact that it is out of the main town and up on a hill. Well, we are a fit retired couple who enjoy walking. The walk down through the olive groves into the town was a treat. We did walk back up on one occasion and would have done so again but for the heat - this is the hottest season after all. But we certainly weren't put off by it and in fact enjoyed the extra peace afforded by the fact that the hotel isn't in the busiest location.
The hotel itself was very pleasant. It is spotlessly clean and the staff helpful and courteous. Views from the bar, restaurant and pool were spectactular. The gardens were well tended and watered and a delight. The food was perfectly acceptable but not by any means the most exciting you might expect in Italy (we dined out one night at the Caruso restaurant - it was great and I'll write a separate review on that).
Fellow guests were friendly and civilised for the most part. But as a retired doctor it saddened me to see how blatantly all my years of advice to patients on the dangers of sun exposure is ignored. Some of the nastiest skin cancers are a direct consequence of prolonged sun exposure and if you don't get a lethal melanoma you will certainly age your skin and look like a wrinkled prune long before you reach my age. And sadly too, like so many of these resorts, it is a haven for the over-nourished - not a particularly attractive sight around the pool. But never mind - we kept our eyes on our books.
By and large it is quiet and we slept well at night - tired after a lot of walking. But I do wish hotels would put more emphasis on asking their guests to have consideration for others when coming in late at night or leaving early in the morning. Loud conversations, moving furniture about and engaging in other activities that Tripadvisor would not allow me to describe for fear of offending standards of decency in the adjacent rooms or the room above are a dreadful nuisance in the wee small hours.
But again - a great holiday and a fine hotel. Thank you.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sea view - and you will experience what must be one of the loveliest outlooks...

Arrived quite late and while we went in to eat, they took our cases from the bus up to our room. Lovely room, not much of a view but quiet and very spacious.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, even Tony the bus driver was giving out free maps and sweets. Wonderful food and service, Luigi the Maitre D always made you feel important and nothing was too much trouble.
Only two down sides really, the first, there was a fridge in the room but set up as a mini bar and you could not open it without being charged. Would have liked it empty to use for myself.
Secondly, there was a Grand Buffet night which was a bit of a shambles. Food was lovely but didn't like the queuing. Just stick to what you do best and leave it all in the restaurant. Would definitely go back to this hotel and I have never said that on any holiday before.

Room Tip: Higher floor garden rooms are probably the best.
