Beautiful hotel, gorgeous location, amazing suite, terrace same size as the room!
Everything is perfect! We have celebrated our anniversary last night and the dinner was spectacular! Staff very attentive, Pianist played beautifully, there was nothing else we could ask for. So sad to leave tomorrow and would love to come back! Would recommend to all couples!

Great location based literally two minutes walk from the main piazza and shopping area. The hotel itself is great, very picturesque and well maintained. It has lots of public area space both inside and out which means you can sit in the sun, the shade or indoors. The decked area by the sea is very easy to get to via lift so you do not need to climb the cliff face to get there.

Included in the rate were snacks and drinks all day. These were freely laid out and replenished when gone. It was great as on an evening qw they moved them down to a terrace which overlooked the bay so you did not miss out.

2 best things about the hotel apart from the unbeatbale location were firstly it was not stuffy or pretentious at all and secondly the amazing views of the bay from the breakfast room (guessing restaurant in colder periods) all the way across the bay through floor to ceiling windows,

Great hotel with great staff. Well worth the money.

We went to Italy to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We decided to spend the last four nights of our trip in Sorrento to relax, savor the views, and be spoiled. The Bellevue Syrene was definitely the perfect place for all this and more! The hotel is definitely deserves its FIVE star rating.

The service is amazing and the staff is so friendly and they go out of their way to help, Our booking included breakfast which was divine! Everything from cereal and pastries to freshly cooked eggs and meats were available. Teh servers would remember us and bring us our customized espressos as soon as we walked in!

They have a "happy hour" outside of reception that lasts from 9am-9pm! They have wine, champagne, prosecco, all liquours, coffee, etc. They also have snacks according to the time of day!!! It was great.

We spent one afternoon in the spa -- the turkish bath was relaxing and the massages and nail services were nice.

The views are breathtaking!!! the patio was an awesome place to share a bottle of wine and watch the sunset!

The city is small and quaint and there were mostly local italians on vacation. But its a great place to relax and the food is great!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone that enjoys being pampered!

We did not stay at the hotel but had lunch on the patio. What a hidden gom. The view was world class. The service, during our short stay, with a fmaily, was very courteous. Believe me, the waiter could have been very rude, we were there for a quick lunch, with 5 kids, one special needs, but they were great. We hope to come back again and stay.

Stayed here for five days while touring the Amalfi coast. Sorrento is not a particularly high-end town, though real Italians stay here, which makes it attractive as a place to stay in the Amalfi area. The Bellevue is nicely situated in a quieter part of the town (albeit walking distance to most things), with great views across the Gulf of Naples.

The good: The public spaces are very elegant and nicely done, with some interesting sculptural ceramics. The daily lounge, where guests have free access to soft drinks, some white wine etc, is a very nice touch. The breakfast was very generous by European standards, with very nice and helpful staff (in addition to oranges from which guests can make their own fresh orange juice- a particularly nice touch). The staff was very nice and generally helpful. Restaurant and other recommendations varied- generally good, but did depend on the individual manning the front desk (ask for Francesco- he was very good and knowledgeable). Crowd staying at the hotel was a nice mixture of nationalities.

The not-so-good: stayed in a "classic" room- 1st floor, which some could interpret as being in the basement. Quality of the furnishings were rather poor and dated, and the bathroom was mediocre - we felt the pictures on the internet of the classic rooms to be somewhat deceptive. True to many of the complaints on here re room 105, it was noisy one night during a wedding reception taking place directly above this room, with metal chairs being constantly being pulled in and out. Both the loungers and umbrellas down at the sea were bolted to the ground, so with a moving sun, difficult to be shaded at times. The breakfast is, strangely, held indoors, which we couldn't understand given all of the hotel's beautiful outdoor spaces overlooking the sea and beautiful temperatures in the morning.

Upon checking out, we were shown a superior room for comparison- they had been renovated and were, both in quality in aesthetic, far superior to the classic rooms- but cost more than 200 euros per night extra per room. The gap seemed a bit incongruous.

Overall, I would recommend staying here for the setting, public spaces and helpful staff- but before booking, get a clear understanding of where your room is located and what quality it is.

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms on floor 1

We stayed here for a second time as a family ranging from 15 to 75 and the hotel staff could not have been more accommodating. The location is idyllic, an easy stroll into the town centre, the views incredible with a lift straight to the private beach it is easy for everyone to access the sea. Part of the hotel is an old roman villa so we felt that not only were we visiting Pompei but also getting our own private taste of what it was really like. It is also full of wonderful art from modern to the antique, with the terrace dripping with wisteria and overlooking the sea it is all exquisitely beautiful. There is a complementary snack and bar area which is very useful when you have a range of ages wanting food at slightly differing times. We loved it and will definitely return, it is pricey but worth it!
