“Best Wedding reception Venue in the World!”
Reviewed 3 September 2010

We chose this hotel for our wedding reception in August 2010. We were very nervous at first as the menu prices for guests are on the more expensive side. I can honestly say though, that we got excellent value for our money. Unlike wedding receotions at home, menu print and table settings are included. The table settings were candles wrapped in whote roses and they were beautiful. In any event, this would not have worried me as the hotel surroundings are amazing. I will not rehearse what has been said in the other reviews save as to say this place really is "paradise on earth".

When we arrived with our heavey cases we were told to take a seat and a welcome cocktail was provided mmmmmmmmm. The club lounge thing is amazing, free bar really from 10am - 9pm so long as your remain in the main terrace area.

I agree with other reviews regarding staff to a certian extent. yes they will keep an eye out to enusre that you are a hotel guest. I would advise you to remember that the Italians are very different to us. They didn't really undertsand why we needed 6 glasses of proseco an hour!

The wedding menu was 6 courses and amaazing. Best wedding cake I have ever had (also soaked in alchohol!) The hotel manager met with us two days before along with our wedding planner, Alessandra Volino (highly recommended). The best word i can use to describe him is "smooth" - a true proffessional! But I have to say his maitre d outshone him on the day of my wedding. he was the most proffessional person I have enountered. I have eaten in La Gavroche in London and got the same service from the maitre d at my wedding!

Also included in the menu price was a half bottle of wine per guest, plus a welcome glass of Proesco. Well the Proseco reception lasted aroung 90 mins with the drink free flowing. During the meal, the red and whote wine kept flowing! Those drinking wine basically got a free bar!

It truely was the best day of my life!

We spent a little over a week. Every member of the hotel staff was excellent in being helpful and attentive to any questions or requests that we had. The room was well appointed and extremely comfortable. The impressive view and relaxing atmosphere will always stay with us.

Stayed in the hotel end of June 6 nights for the purpose of getting married in Positano. As an artist I was not dissappointed by this stunning old world meets modern designed hotel, the mix is so chique with fabulous handpainted tiles, old style architecture, and modern beautiful colour furniture and funky sculptures and light fixtures, it totally works. Our room was so beautiful on the forth floor lavender in colour with white stucowork and a splash of red detailing. The bathroom was very elegant and spacious and the double doors onto the balcony were so old world leading to the most stunning view of the bay of naples.
My only fault with the hotel was the staff. They seemed alittle indifferent to guests or maybe and had a big dress bag and never once asked if we needed any assistance with anything, this was quiet unusual for a hotel of this calibar. The complimentary drinks and snacks was a lovely idea, yet you always felt uncomfortable getting a drink as the staff there gave funny looks that made you feel you shouldnt get a drink or whatever. Pressumably they were trying to make sure you were staying at the hotel so were always wary of you. that would be easily solved by announcing at the start your room number then staff should be welcoming not visually confrontational.
The day of the wedding the staff went about their business as I was walking past them in full wedding attire(is this not abit weird) Im in no way an attention seeker but you expect alittle special attention from a 5 star hotel.
It is a pricey hote example internet was 20euro per day (excessive)l but has some of the best views in sorrento so if you want stylish surroundings and beautiful views this is for you but a little staff training in customer care and attention would bring this hotel up to where it should be.

This hotel is the most beautiful spot I found on the coast of Sorrento and Amalfi coast as well, except maybe this castle hotel in Ravello, but thats not a sea resort.
Everything reminds of an old traditional summer hotel, you feel like trvelling back in time, and everything is at its best. Waitors in white jackets serving the best brekfast ever as you overlook the sea, the charming garden, the all day complimentary drink and fruit buffet, and of course th tasteful rooms with every comfort you wish for, free wifi, best bed, very calm, and in the heart of Sorrento. I curiously walked into the other 5 star hotels, most of them being far more expensive, and Bellevue Syrene definitely won the first prize! The best is the "beach", a wooden deck built over the sea, with a guy who takes very good care of the customers, and it is the most peaceful and relaxing experience to hang out there and get rid of all the stress. Will return many times!

We recently stayed at the Bellevue syrene as well as holding our wedding reception on the Villa Pompeiana terrace. The reception was perfect, excellent attention to detail, fantastic service, stunning views and delicious food.

Our room was spacious and had 2 double doors which opened to the beautiful view of mount Vesuvius. The Club lounge and private terrace from the beach was a definite bonus compared to other Sorrento hotels and the breakfast selection was excellent. We will definitely be staying again and can also recommend the spa treatments. We cannot wait to go back!

Hotel Bellevue Syrene is spectacular from the moment you drive up to it. The reception area has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea - stunningly breathtaking. Then Mount Vesuvius is there in your view as well. Very warm, welcoming, and professional staff. Our room was comfortable and different with its red leather headboard and chairs, and we loved it. It was an ocean view with a small balcony, again with a stunning view. Breakfast is a vast variety of delicious foods, and you can also order from the menu. Never before seen, this hotel offers complimentary food from breakfast until 9 pm! Wine as well. The selections vary throughout the day, from vegetable appetizers to desserts. Phenomenal. Then there is the evening piano music, played, while we were there, by a very talented musician named Sabastione. We listened to him several evenings. Our 3 days at Bellevue Syrene created lifelong memories, and we hope to return some day. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a 5 star experience in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

The three nights we spent in a Deluxe Double Room on the top most floor provided a spectacular close to our time in Italy.
If we had one critique ,and only one, it was with most of the staff . They ranged from indifferent to downright arrogant. If the Bellevue Syrene is to compete with the best in Sorrento and elsewhere the Management will need to address this aspect in a hurry !
