Lovely old hotel set right in the centre of Sorrento, so very convenient for transport, restaurants, shopping and the marina. The room was clean and comfortable with all that we needed. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of food.

My husband and I were touring Italy for 3 weeks. I chose Hotel del Corso because it was near the train station, offered laundering facilities (expensive, but appreciated) and was strongly recommended by Rick Steves. Of all the places we stayed during our recent trip, this was the most disappointing. The main reason was the attitude of the owners. They seemed to be present, staring at everything, but not at all friendly. The people at the desk were polite and helpful. The owners should pay them well for their service. They seem to have to staff the breakfast and the desk, rather than having people to take care of the breakfast offerings, which were definitely inferior to our other hotel choices. No boiled eggs or protein foods were offered. We had requested a quiet room on an upper floor and got a room on their lowest level, where I needed to sit out on the stairs in order to get the wi-fi for which I had had to pay extra. When I asked for a credit for the wi-fi cost, the owner's son challenged me on my ability to get wi-fi, but reluctantly gave me it, saying "five Euros wasn't going to break them." I left with a bad feeling about our stay. The room was clean, however, and the location of the hotel was central to Sorrento's sights.

Room Tip: If you want to use wi-fi in your room (at an extra charge) be sure refuse a room on the lowest floor...

Quircky comfortable "Old World" hotel set in a 19th century building in the central historic main street of Sorrento.

An easy walk from the train station and to the bus stop for Amalfi Coast trips. Walk to Marina Piccola to catch the ferry for Capri.

Checkin easy, very helpful front desk, our simple room was clean and comfortable with hairdryer, air conditioning, safe and free wifi. Continental breakfast is available on the terrace and is self serve. A nice selection of fruit, yoghurt, bread rolls, croissants, meats and cheeses, coffees & teas.

The lounge area is filled with photos, magazines, books and interesting bric a brac. there is always something to look at. Enjoy a drink from the bar.

Lots of nice shops and restaurants surround the hotel. We had two favourite restaurants in Sorrento. Ristorante Pizzeria Lanterna Due and Inn Bufalito.

Hotel was great. Walking distance from the train station was easy, only 15 minutes walk. Hotel gave us 2 great rooms with an adjoining balcony. Breakfast was good. Rooms were good, clean, had a wonderful time.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms 68 or 69, they had a adjoing balcony that you could sit on in the evening with friends...

This was a great location and incredibly clean. We always saw people cleaning. Breakfast was good, but the best thing about this hotel was the staff. They were so sweet and did everything they could to help us and make our stay wonderful, even helpingus try and book our next hotel when we were having trouble online. Family run and very quaint. Our room was right off of the patio, which was cute and very pleasant in the evenings. Tip: run the room fan at night, it helps cover the noise of the street, which I think is unavoidable for anywhere along the main roads.

Very nice friendly family run hotel, staff helpful and genuinely concerned to make our stay a good one. Really clean and great value for money. Good continental breakfast, filling and a wide range of food and drink. Great location, easy to get around from here, an easy stroll to train/bus station and harbour. A bit noisy at night, only to be expected on main street in town in Italy! Very much recommended.

Great location, nice breakfast, close to all the action, quiet at night, helpful staff. The only downside was the wifi access which is only in specific places in the hotel. There is access to washing machine and dryer.
