This hotel is the best hotel we have ever been to! The view is lovely and the rooms superb, very clean and spacious.my son is a very fussy eater but if he didn't like anything on the menu they would cook something different which hotels normally dont do!Breakfast very nice as well, the pool was lovely and a 10 min walk to the town!Staff were allways attentive and ahead off you!!! when we were leaving they came for our bags without being asked!! I recommed a balcony with a view because it is fantastic! But the staff were so friendly and could'nt do more for you really!but there was no tea or coffee facilities in the room so bring a kettle and teabags!!!

Room Tip: Get a room with a balcony and seaview!

Situated on cliff with panoramic views of Bay of Naples, this first-class hotel is a short walk from town centre. Most rooms have sea-view and balcony and room was a reasonable size. Service was superb. Food was great, especially the puddings! There is a real feeling of luxury here.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view at the top of the hotel.

Just back from the Bristol after a wonderful stay to celebrate my daughter's wedding.
The hotel has the most spectacular views I have ever experienced, the staff are unfailingly courteous and helpful, the facilities (particularly the rooftop pool area) are second to none. Not a bad word to say about it

Room Tip: Make sure to get a sea view and balcony, worth it.

This hotel is the best place to stay in Sorrento. The view is spectacular, the staff so welcoming and gracious, and the hotel is a 5 minute walk from town. The pool is a great place to relax after a day of touring. The breakfast buffet has everything you could possibly desire. We will be back to the Bristol in Sorrento!

We were very tired when we eventually arrived at the Hotel Bristol on our first trip to Sorrento and Italy. Room was a little basic compared to some we've stayed in but absolutely spotlessly clean and, once we took it in, had a charm all of its own. In fact everything about the hotel is charming and the views are absolutely magnificant. Would I stay there again: without hesitation.

Plane was very late, delayed 4 hours, arrived at 2pm to a warm welcome and welcome food in room.
All the staff were most polite and helpful, friendly, remembering our room number when necessary and our favourite drinks,we never had to wait for a waiter ,they were just there ,but did not "hover".
Front desk and restaurant managers very helpful and efficient.
Large selection of local wines, and staff with knowledge about them.

Room was very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the bay ,great views of Vesuvius,we used it every day.Plenty of storage for all our effects and cleaned /tided
daily.
Location was far enough from town to be quiet but near enough to stroll in and browse.
Sorrento has a lot to offer as a town,views,shops,restaurants,fishing port,churches etc.etc.
Sorrento also made a great base for trips-Pompeii-Herculaneum-Amalfi-Vesuvius all within easy reach and well worth the trip.

To many "bests" to pick one.

Least good thing was coming home-We are usually ready to go home--but we would have stayed if we could.

We stayed at the Hotel Bristol towards the end of May as the first part of our honeymoon in Italy, and it proved to be the perfect relaxing start to our trip after the wedding. Our room was on the 5th floor, with amazing views back over Sorrento, across to the Bay of Naples and of course Vesuvius.

The location is no more than 5 minutes walk back in to the centre of Sorrento, and to be honest the short walk up the hill and the views on offer make the hotel a far more appealing option than many down in the centre.

The rooms and restaurants were immaculately clean and very traditionally Italian. As other reviewers have mentioned the staff were always polite, friendly and went out of their way to help you enjoy your stay. The swimming pool on the roof of the hotel provides a perfect location to sit back, relax and enjoy the views.

We were on a half board basis and despite saying we would venture down in to Sorrento for a meal one night, we never felt the need not to stay at the hotel restaurant and enjoy the three course meal. There was always plenty of choice and we couldn't fault a single meal during the five days we stayed.

We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing break in Sorrento.
