In Sorrento for my son's wedding and had a wonderful time. Hotel and staff excellent. Views from hotel were stunning and worth the short walk from town centre. Room was excellent with free safe, toiletries and towels. Towels also provided at pool (less to carry with you). If you need a hairdresser whilst in Sorrento I would recommend Beauty Line (near Conca Park Hotel) as girls did an excellent job for our entire party. Plenty of empty sun beds at pool as Sorrento is not a holiday where you will sunbathe all day as there is so much to see and do in and around Sorrento. Will definately be back.

Room Tip: We were on 4th floor and had no problems, but heard another guest ask to be moved from 1st floor due...

It's 15 years since I'd been to stay at the Bristol (with my Mum) and this time I was going with my husband. When we decided on our holiday I suggested straightaway that we go the Bristol having had such a great time 15 years ago, but of course, things can change ... Fortunately, things hadn't changed, and the Bristol is as it was back then, a great hotel to stay in. All the staff from the guys on reception, through to the waiters in the restaurant were incredibly friendly and helpful. The reception staff helped us choose some lovely places to go for dinner (please go to the Trattoria L'Antica for a truly fabulous meal in Sorrento and Relai Blu, about a 20 minute drive from Sorrento overlooking Capri for a "millionaires" dining experience - they send a car !). We ended up having 2 different hotel rooms. The first was underneath the bar - which wasn't noisy and the 2nd felt like it was almost on the roof overlooking the pool. Both had views/balconies to die for and were very quiet. Breakfast was very nice (the best compared to other hotels we'd stayed at in Rome & Venice) and we ate dinner in the hotel one night which was also very good.
The hotel organises many different excursions which pick up/drop off outside the hotel. I know we will return to the Bristol again, and we won't leave it 15 years this time!

Room Tip: Room 656 just underneath the bar was very nice, lovely balcony and outdoor furniture/jacuzzi bath or...

We loved everything about this five-star hotel! Where to start -- the crispy white tiled room with the large terrace overlooking the marina (with free in room safe, robes, toiletries and hair dryer), the large bathroom, the Jacuzzi tub on the terrace, the kind and helpful staff (dressed in suits and so very helpful with dinner suggestions, mailing postcards, directions to the ferry, etc), the Bellini’s served at the beautiful eternity rooftop pool (easier to get a chair in late afternoon), the great location (just a short walk to old town Sorrento), the comfy bed (best night sleep on vacation!), the great working free wi-fi (it actually worked in every area of the hotel!), the HUGE delicious breakfast (with custom prepared eggs and a beautiful view from every table) included in the cost, the list goes on and on. A few nice things about the location: a short walk down to the marina for a great dinner at Ristorante Bagni Delfino for great seafood! The location up on the cliff allows for beautiful views or Sorrento and the marina and it’s so quiet at nighttime. It’s even located right on the Amalfi road! It is not within walking distance of the train station but the cab ride is short and easy to do.

Room Tip: We were in the Lucy suite, #650 and would highly recommend it! Rooms with jacuzzis on the terrace a...

The Hotel Bristol is a lovely hotel with spectacular views over the bay of Naples. The staff are predominantly male they were all polite and courteous at all times. Our room was on the seventh floor it was a double room with a balcony overlooking the bay,the room was adequate in size and facilities the bathroom was quite small with no shelf space or shelves the shower was good and the towels changed daily ,I felt the air conditioning was only adequate but as the hotel was not a modern one this probably accounts for that .The roof terrace and pool area were lovely ,it seemed to be understood that rowdy behavior would not be tolerated and even with children present during our stay the pool area was quiet and relaxing,we found the garden which was tucked away behind the pool area it is a lovely quiet area with sunbeds .
The hotel offers guests the choice of having a lunch in the roof top restaurant instead of an evening meal on the half board option,we took advantage of this a few times to enable us to eat in Sorrento in the evening. On occasion we struggled to find dishes we liked on the evening menu ,and on one occasion I could not eat my meal as the beef was of a poor quality .However overall we loved the Hotel Bristol and if we visited Sorrento again we would love to return.

Room Tip: Select a balcony as views are spectacular, rooms on the upper floors are better as other guests we sp...

We go to the Bristol every year and find all the staff to be really lovely, with one exception - the pool man mentioned by Helena S. One year we took our young granddaughter who loves to swim. Every time she went in the pool he was there glaring at her and approached me saying that people wished to sleep and she was disturbing them! I ask you how much disturbance could one child cause, and if people wish to sleep, there are plenty of quiet spots to do that.

Apart from that man, who has been there for several years, we love everything about the hotel, and fortunately we don't need the pool as there is so much to do in the Sorrento area and to tell the truth if you wish to sunbathe all the time, there are much cheaper destinations.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor.

We stayed at Bristol Hotel for a week in June for our wedding. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel like we were the only guests there, the staff cannot do enough for you.
We stayed in a suite in the attached Villa Bianca and can not fault the room. We had a Large terrace overlooking the whole of Sorrento which had a seating area, hammock and Jacuzzi.
The room was spotless and was cleaned every day.
On arrival we were welcomed with a bottle of prosecco and a basket of fruit.
The facilities are excellent from the roof terrace pool to the lovely lounge areas. Breakfast was served in the main restaurant with amazing views of Sorrento and Vesuvius.
On our wedding day we had photographers arriving and delivery of flowers etc and none of it was too much trouble.

We really can't recommend this hotel enough, all the staff were extremly friendly and accomodating and we will only stay here on any return visits to Sorrento.

Very good stay with my family, pool was lovely and not too overcrowded, some trees could be cut down to create more room for sun beds with sun actually on them! Also there was a man always lurking around the pool who seemed to want to kill any ounce of joy in every person. however the rooms were brilliant with excellent sea views and was very easy to climb over the wall and get into other people rooms. Would stay here again as long as that man was gone. Don't let him put you off going though as he will probably have been fired or have died as he is ancient.

Room Tip: Sea view with balcony
