This hotel is exceptional you would honestly be hard pressed to find a fault the staff really make your stay special so much so we have booked to return in 2014 there is no wonder so many guests return every year. We stayed in a junior suite it was absolutley stunning room 621 we have requested the same room on our return visit honestly this hotel is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and we travel alot many thanks to all the staff especially Pasquale and Ercole cant wait to return.

Room Tip: Room 621 its unbelievable

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and we had a double room with a balcony and sea view. Most places to stay in Sorrento are quite pricey, so we were expecting to pay quite a bit to stay there. We searched long and hard for a place that was nice, but also wasn't *waaay* too pricey. We came across the Bristol hotel and after much deliberation and searching, it seemed to be the best value.
Sure enough, the hotel was AMAZING, and it was worth every penny, and beyond. Our view was superb, the front desk was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and it was so romantic and relaxing. The rooms were very clean, very comfortable, quite large, and definitely exceeded our expectations! The pool on the rooftop area is HUGE, but you'll have to get up there early if you want to get a sun chair! (this was in July, so pretty busy season). The breakfasts were delicious and the breakfast room that we dined at was beautiful with an amazing view. It was very traditional, high-class, and it felt very distinguished. You feel like royalty staying there!
It is a very short walk to the city center, and we always went on foot wherever we needed to go. For longer trips (like the bus trip to Amalfi, etc. ) there is a bus stop right near the hotel. Everything that you would think of doing while staying in sorrento (ferry rides to capri, tours of pompeii and vesuvius,, etc) are easy to navigate and figure out if you go to the front desk. They gave us a sheet when we first arrived there with ferry times, train times, and private tour packages and it was very convenient!
I would stay here again in a heartbeat, No questions asked!

Room Tip: We stayed in a balcony room with a sea view, which was excellent. We asked for any rooms with extra...

Enjoyed 5 nights at the Bristol the first week in November with a group of over 50 people. Season ends October 31, so weather was still nice, but hotel and whole area were winding down for the "winter".Hotel was full with guest on a couple bus tours. Our plan included breakfast and dinner each day, both of which were OK as far as food, very good as far as service.Fabulous staff, experienced, obviously been at hotel many years and care about it and the guest. The food was convenience only, almost like banquet food, but again, it was good, just not the type of food you go to Italy for. The rooms were lovely, comfortable and large.Baths were nice.Hotel built into/on a mountainside overlooking bay/Vesuvius, so all rooms face out and have amazing views. Less than 10 minutes walk into town. About 5 minute walk down toward town to reach a grocery store, a "not just fruit" store(convenience/wine/water,produce,snacks) where we purchase bottled water 6 for a euro rather than a euro per bottle. Again, convenient location close to town without being "in town". We liked this hotel for the comfortable beds, the view, the convenience, and the friendly, professional staff. You need to explore this property a bit-since it is situated on/against a cliff, it is not straight up and down-so you can wander down a hall, take another stairway, and find yourself on a rooftop terrace with cozy covered seating, soft lighting, along with an amazing view- we brought a bottle of wine up there one night to just sit and talk and enjoy the surroundings. Priceless. A gated garden and a pool are available, but we didn't see them due to time constraints and seasonal closure. I cannot imagine how incredible this property must be in late Summer, but seeing it in the early off season made it affordable for us. We loved it and would stay again. Things American travelers should know- an expensive box voltage converter($50, not the little plug-in one that just converts the plug size) is your safest bet to "step down" the (220)voltage so you don't fry your plug-in items. We fried a flat-iron by not using our converter(generally, we found that american flat irons just don't work here.Get an italian one if you need it that bad), but phone charging went well with the step-down converter. There are no clocks in the room- bring a travel alarm so you aren't relying on your phone, which in Italy always seemed to be running out of charge. Use ATM for best value to get euros- but the hotel also converted our US dollars(cash) at a good rate (better than airport). When we were there, most places in town wanted euros, and were not keen on taking credit cards-this may have been due to "off season", but we were told by our travel co. everyone took credit cards, and it wasn't the case. Altogether, Hotel Bristol was fabulous-we would love to be so lucky as to travel to this gorgeous area again. and to stay at this well run, pretty hotel.

Room Tip: all rooms have a balcony with grand view

When we got to our room we were delighted. When we went out on the balcony we were astounded. The view was over the whole Bay of Naples and over the pretty town of Sorrento itself. It had been a long journey on the train(s) from Rome but the solicitous welcome more than made up for it. The room was exquisitely white, the bed linen was very smooth and the bathroom was very big. Our only regret was that the weather was not quite nice enough to sample the jacuzzi on the balcony. Service throughout the hotel was very professional and the restaurant was the highlight of our trip. 5 choices for each course, all changed daily. We sampled all sorts of Italian (local) dishes that we would never have heard of - all delicious. Slightly old fashioned in atmosphere but none the worse for it. A lovely respite from daily life.

We booked Villa Bianca, 3 adults, Mum, Dad and 18 year old daughter. The Villa was gorgeous with everything you need for a perfect holiday, daughter impressed with jacuzzi and hammock! Sorrento was experiencing some extraordinary weather and it was getting difficult to reach the Villa in the torrential rains. The hotel offered us a room in the hotel, junior suite, 2 bedrooms and 2 balconies, it was enormous, gorgeous and comfortable with an amazing floating balcony looking out over the bay of Naples towards Vesuvius.
We all loved our return to this fantastic hotel and the staff were particularly attentive as they have always been on our trips. Looking forward to returning again, wouldn't stay anywhere else in Sorrento.

We recently had our honeymoon at the Bristol Hotel, Sorrento. What a wonderful place! The location is perfect - far enough out of the main town for peace and quiet but only a short, easy walk to Piazza Tasso - the centre of town.
The staff were, without exception, brilliant - all were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was good and plentiful. We only had a week there but there was a different menu every day. The pool was clean but rather cold (last week in October) and the grounds beautiful with a very relaxing ambience.
Drinks on the terrace bar in the evening, looking over the bay with the twinkling lights of Sorrento close by and Naples in the distance, was a real treat every evening.
Our room was beautiful - we told the hotel we were on honeymoon and were upgraded to a junior suite.
The atmosphere at the hotel is charming, efficient and extremely warm and friendly. We had a wonderful week there and would love to return

Our 25th. wedding anniversary trip took us to Sorrento Italy and the surrounding areas. The Hotel Bristol was our "home base". We were on a tour put on by Tribury Travel and the accommodations could not have been better. Our rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. The staff was attentive to our every wish. The hotel was located at a strategic place so that from our balcony we had an amazing view of the Sorrento bay and Mount Vesuvius. There was just a 10 to 15 minute walk to the center of Sorrento. The hotel provided wireless internet and 5 star food. We were provided with breakfast and supper every day. Drink and honor bar prices were very reasonable. The service from the dining room staff was excellent. If we were to travel back to this area in the future, the Hotel Bristol will be our choice of lodging. Hotel Bristol was by far the best place that we had stayed in Italy!
