One of the best hotels we have been to, located just on the outskirts of town, overlooking the harbour. A different view every morning you open the curtains. Liners in the bay, the occasional three masted schooner. Sitting on the balcony having a drink, soaking up the atmosphere in the evening.

Room Tip: Any room second floor and above all seem to be sea facing and with balcony.

The highlight of this hotel was the view. There are nice amenities like the pool if you want to spend a lot of time at the hotel. I thought the restaurant was average - we preferred to go into town to eat. It was walkable for us but it may not be walkable for some. There is a bus stop nearby also.

We searched the Internet for hours for the right hotel once we had chosen to get married in sorrento, we had never been there but we both liked the look of the cloisters, we read the reviews on this hotel and decided to book it not knowing what to expect, we also chose to have our wedding reception her for us and our 33 guests, everything was organised over email, everything I asked for was not a problem, we arrived and on our second day we had a meeting with the owner of the hotel to discuss our wedding menu choices, the owner thought he could make some changes to the menu to make it better, he also set up (especially for us) a pre wedding taste of all the food and the wines we had chosen! The day went perfect without any hitches and the reception itself at this hotel was above and beyond what we expected the views outstanding the food amazing the hors dueves plentiful as well as welcome drinks toasting drinks and wine with our meal, the wedding cake was huge!!! And the party brilliant, I have never met such welcoming accommodating staff the room was also spectacular and clean with amazing views of sorrento, we would like to thank all the staff at the hotel Bristol especially ercole and matteo for helping us create some very special memories we would highly recommend this hotel not just to stay but also if you plan to get married here! !

I have been staying at the Hotel Bristol, Sorrento for many years and will not stay anywhere else. The front desk service is impeccable--they go out of their way to try and help you. The food service and the Maitre' d's are fantastic as well as all the wait staff.. It is a finely tuned operation and worth the stay here. The owner is always there in the background and if anything needs his personal attention he is right there. IT IS WONDERFUL!
It is very close to town, approx. a 10 minute walk which after all the fabulous food and pasta you will feel the need for a short stroll!
I highly recommend this hotel !!

Room Tip: You may have to pay just a little more to get a seaview room, but please do. Those rooms overlook t...

Hotel staff were very friendly, good size rooms with amazing ocean views! Breakfast is included and was delicious. We liked our stay so much, we decided to come back for another two nights. Hotel Bristol & Sorrento were the highlight of our trip to Italy.

Room Tip: It is worth three extra money to get one of the suites with the jacuzzi tub on the balcony.

Stayed here in early oct '13 Having read all the reviews we were so excited to stay here. Should not have this hotel is dated & everyone staying here seemed 2 be well over 70. Hotel was seriously dull food was not what we expected & we ate out most nights even tho we had paid 4 dinner in hotel. Hotel itself is up a steep hill about 15 mins walk from centre. We found the hotel Astor on a walk around town & would have much preferred 2 stay here. Will not go back go the Bristol & would not recommend 2 anyone.

Room Tip: We had a view of the bay and the view was fab.

My wife and I stayed here two years ago and this is me just getting round to posting a review. We went in May the temperature was about 24 degrees, just right for us, hotel was great, lots of grassed terrace places to sunbathe and small garden areas with rosemary, thyme, and roses growing in them.the pool area was great with lovely views out over the bay of Naples and the town of Sorrento. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a lovely place to stay a short walk to the town centre.
